It symbolizes peace and victory, reminding us of Jesus’ message of love and redemption and It marks the start of a week filled with profound meaning, leading to Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

I’ve been doing a lot of praying and thinking lately about our community, and I wanted to share something that has been heavy on my heart.

We are living in such a noisy world right now. Everywhere we turn—especially on social media—there is so much conflict. I’ve noticed that the political climate often tempts us to draw lines in the sand. Whether we lean to the left or to the right, it’s easy to get caught up in posting negative comments or sharing things that prove “our side” is correct.

But I’ve been feeling deeply that when we do this, it ends up dividing us—not just as voters, but as humans, friends, neighbors, and brothers and sisters in Christ. The labels we put on ourselves and others can quickly build walls that are hard to tear down.

I would love for us to be a people who look different from the rest of the world. Instead of letting politics define our relationships, let’s be people who love on everyone, regardless of their beliefs. Let’s make sure that when people see us, they see love first, not a political stance.

Let’s protect our unity and focus on being good neighbors to one another. You are all so important to me.
