Good morning! We have a baptism at 4pm mass this Saturday. Is anyone able to present the family an Elizabeth Ministry gift bag, lamb & scroll? Or know of anyone who could? Thanks!

Hello everyone!

We have a blessing this weekend for families expecting a child through birth or adoption, and are in need of help at the 4pm mass this Saturday at St. Mary's. If a woman or family stands up to receive this blessing, we need someone to present two items from a bag that will be in the sacristy. Super easy & wonderful!

If you can help, or know of anyone that attends 4pm mass, please let us know as soon as possible! This blessing is always very special, though often times no one stands & therefore no gifts have to be given. But we’d love to have someone there to represent our Elizabeth Ministry as 2 of our volunteers will be covering the other masses.

Thank you very much for your consideration! 🙏🏻💜

New Leadership / Volunteers sought for SKD Elizabeth Ministries: If you’ve been involved in the past, are currently involved, or would like to become involved inElizabeth Ministry here at SKD, we are looking to add volunteers to our list, and are especially looking for new leadership. Kate Haen and Carol Engmann are both looking to step down from leadership roles, but will happily stay on in support roles. Elizabeth Ministry has been a part of who the two women are for many years, and its mission will always be important to them. They will work closely with the new leader(s) to make sure the ministry continues to be a valuable part of our parish. Our parish chapter Elizabeth Ministry now will be located in the old SM rectory/parish office that is being renovated and renamed Zecharhia House of Healing. The renovation is still ongoing, but as we begin to reorganize our materials and move to our new space, it would be great to have some new volunteers on deck to learn the programs and help reset the Parish Chapter so it can function efficiently. Please prayerfully consider whether this opportunity might be right for you. It’s a lot of fun and has helped each of us on our own faith journeys. It’s a great way to get to know your parish family on a more personal basis. If you’d like to talk personally about this opportunity for stewardship, please contact:Carol Engmann @ 9202057269 Kate Haen @ 9208410518 Sarah Haase @9208102737

Although the pandemic continues to keep us from making the personal visits that are so vital to our ministry, we pray the young families of our parish have continued to receive blessings through our Rose Program, our Baptismal Lambs and our semiannual Pregnancy/Waiting to Adopt Blessings. We hope to get back to making home visits, or, at the very least, dropping off gift (blessing/resource) bags again soon. We definitely have some catching up to do. In the meantime, please know we are praying for you and your families! If your child was baptized within the past year and did not receive a baptismal lamb, please contact the parish office and we willinclude it in your blessing bag.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above”...

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus this Christmas, we also celebrate all the new and precious lives that came into our world and parish family this past year. We have lots of catching up to do and are so thankful for the talent and generous hearts of our crafters. We also want to thank those who have gifted us financially so we can continue our ministry here at SKD - 💜
