This Sunday, we will gather together for worship and take communion as a church body, as we do on the last Sunday of each month.
As we come to the Lord's Table, we remember the sacrifice of Christ. We celebrate the forgiveness we have received through His sacrifice, while also mourning the sin that made His sacrifice necessary.
Each time we gather for communion, Pastor Matt reminds us that we should come in a worthy manner. That means examining our hearts. It means seeking reconciliation when there is division between us and a brother or sister in Christ. It means turning from willful, unrepentant sin and coming before the Lord with humility and repentance.
As we look toward this weekend's worship service, let us prepare our hearts to gather around the Lord's Table—remembering Christ's sacrifice, rejoicing in His grace, and examining our lives before Him.
