Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

Those people are on a dark spiral downward. But if you think that leaves you on the high ground where you can point your finger at others, think again. Every time you criticize someone, you condemn yourself. It takes one to know one. Judgmental criticism of others is a well-known way of escaping detection in your own crimes and misdemeanors. But God isn’t so easily diverted. He sees right through all such smoke screens and holds you to what you’ve done.

This week has been an uproar about a social media influencer who routinely held men's feet to the fire regarding bad behaviour. Come to find out he himself had been having an affair and wasn't treating his own wife with respect. Many are basically having a modern day electronic stoning of him. They feel he's a phony and deserves the public flogging he is receiving.

In the scenario he and the people "stoning" him forget how you judge others, you too will be judged. For years he has talked about men. He's told the women to leave the deadbeats alone, don't let the man treat them that way, etc. Was the advice sound? For the most part. But he failed to strengthen his own foundation. He didn't learn a powerful lesson.

Judge lest ye be judged.

The men feel vindicated because of his downfall, but I ask, in his judgment, are we doing the same thing he did?

What if God exposed your life. Would you want to be judged in like manner? I understand he got on the proverbial pulpit and was in the spotlight, but what if it happened to you?

You see as children of God, God knows everything we have done yet He forgives us. But the word says every time we condemn others, we condemn ourselves.

This is a really good example for believers. Yes the influencer was wrong, he's caught dead to rights. He's guilty, but in the eyes of God, so were we and we were forgiven. We have to remember what number of second chance we are on.

I'm not condoning his behavior at all, I just wonder if it was you, would you want, at minimum, compassion for your wife and family?

On this night I urge you to treat the fallen as Christ has treated you.

But about midnight when Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them;
Acts 16:25 AMP

The story of Paul and Silas getting thrown in jail for walking in their calling is a story that we all will find ourselves in sooner or later. They heard the voice of God telling them where to go and obeyed. In the natural mind you would think why would this happen if they were doing what God called them to do.

I've noticed the more I try to be obedient, the more hell breaks loose. When I was clubbing and out doing my own thing life seemed like out was coming up roses. But it was an an illusion. In the movie Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief, Percy and his friends were at the Lotus Casino. While there, if you eat the lotus fruit, you never want to leave. Think about that, the world is so enticing that you never want to leave. But Percy heard his father's voice telling him to wake up. It took a minute, but the spell was broken. Not only was Percy able to escape, but he brought his friends out too. He went on and was able to find the thief and prevent war.

Many years ago I heard the voice of God calling me out. I started on the journey willing and able to be a mouthpiece of God. Along the way I ran into obstacles. I was lied on, demeaned, made to feel less than. I'll be honest, sometimes I did get lost in the fruit. But I heard God calling me and he gave me a way of escape.

I think about Paul and Silas. They were falsely accused, stripped and beaten, but in verse 25 it says around midnight, glory be to God, they were praying and singing and the people bound with them were listening.

I don't know who needs this, but in the midst of what you are going through, pray and sing. Someone is listening. God is getting ready to break the chains and open doors for you. Your life will keep someone from losing their soul. They need to be in the midst of your miracle to understand the blessing of God. Your life may not be easy, but always know there's a miracle coming when it looks the darkest.

In this story, not only were Paul and Silas released, but they were publically asked for forgiveness. Don't worry about the "thems" in your life. Focus on God and you will be vindicated.

Be blessed.

Lord, even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! You remain close to me and lead me through it all the way. Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely, for you are near .

I remember growing up and during the month of October, we would visit haunted houses. Lord thank you for deliverance, lol.

But I remember I would always want to go through the house with one of my guy friends. Why? I felt that no matter what, they would keep me safe from all the scary stuff happening. Just imagine for a moment how much faith I put into them. Some of them ran off from me, some were just as scared as me, one even used me as a shield.

This verse reminded me of all of the shenanigans. What we are facing in this season is a literal haunted house, but unlike before, I don't run to man for safety, I run to my source.

As someone living with a compromised immune system I live with the confidence that God is my protection. When I am going through flare ups, I know God is there with me comforting me. When my job is laying off employees, I will not fear my future.

On this night be encouraged in who our father is. We live in God's authoritative hands. He will guide us as though we are infants learning to walk. When we are weak, then he makes us strong. Just like in the natural how much a parent will do for their child, our father will do so much more.

Lord, even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! You remain close to me and lead me through it all the way. Your authority i

Refuge - a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger or trouble.

Psalm 91: 1-6
When you sit enthroned[a] under the shadow of Shaddai,[b]
you are hidden[c] in the strength of God Most High.
2 He’s the hope that holds me and the Stronghold to shelter me,
the only God for me, and my great confidence.
3 He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy,[d]
and he will protect you from false accusation
and any deadly curse.[e]
4 His massive arms[f] are wrapped around you, protecting you.
You can run under his covering of majesty and hide.
His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.
5 You will never worry about an attack of demonic forces at night
nor have to fear a spirit of darkness coming against you.
6 Don’t fear a thing!
Whether by night or by day, demonic danger will not trouble you,[g]
nor will the powers of evil launched against you.
