📖 Psalm 46:10 (HCSB)
Stop your fighting—and know that I am God, exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth.

💬 "Be still and know that I am God."

Simple words.
Difficult practice.

Because stillness requires trust.

It asks us to stop striving long enough to remember that God is already at work.

Already present.
Already faithful.
Already holding what concerns us.

Sometimes peace begins when we stop trying to manage everything ourselves.

❓Where do you need more stillness in your life right now?

One of the gifts of church community is realizing you're not the only one walking through hard things.

The person sitting beside you may be trusting God through grief.

Someone else may be navigating uncertainty.

Another person may be waiting on answers they haven't received yet.

And yet, week after week, people continue showing up.

Praying together.

Worshiping together.

Encouraging each other.

That's one of the beautiful things about being part of a church family.

We remind each other where peace can be found.

📖 Philippians 4:6–7 (HCSB)
6 Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

💬 The Apostle Paul doesn't tell us to pretend anxiety isn't real.

He gives us somewhere to take it.

Prayer.
Trust.
Surrender.

Again and again, Scripture invites us to bring our worries to God rather than carry them by ourselves.

And in exchange?

Not necessarily immediate solutions.

But peace.

A peace that guards our hearts and minds even while we wait.

❓What would it look like to bring your concerns to God before carrying them alone?

Sometimes peace doesn't come from finding answers.

Sometimes it comes from knowing we don't have to carry everything alone.

Prayer creates space for us to release what we've been holding tightly and place it into God's hands.

Tonight, whatever is weighing on your heart, you're invited to bring it with you.

📖 Isaiah 26:3 (HCSB)
You will keep the mind that is dependent on You in perfect peace, for it is trusting in You.

💬 Peace isn't found by controlling every outcome.

If it were, most of us would never experience it.

Real peace comes from knowing Who is holding the future, even when we can't see what comes next.

That doesn't mean questions disappear.

It doesn't mean fear never shows up.

It simply means those things no longer get the final word.

God invites us to fix our attention on Him—not because He ignores our problems, but because He is greater than them.

❓ What is one worry you need to place in God's hands today?

📖 John 14:27 (HCSB)
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.

💬 Most of us think peace will arrive when everything finally settles down.

When the problem is solved.
When the diagnosis changes.
When the relationship improves.
When the uncertainty disappears.

But Jesus offers something very different.

A peace that doesn't depend on circumstances.
A peace that remains present even when life feels messy, complicated, or uncertain.

Not because everything is okay.
But because He is with us.

This Sunday, we're concluding our series God's Promises by looking at one of the most comforting promises Jesus ever gave:
🕊️ "My peace I give you."
And maybe that's exactly what your heart needs this week.

📍 Service begins at 10:30 AM at Toddy Oaks Event Center.
Come be in the room with us 🤍

📖 Isaiah 40:31 (HCSB)
but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.

💬 As we close this week, maybe the reminder we need most is this:

God’s power is not reserved for perfect people.

It’s for weary people.
Waiting people.
Growing people.
Ordinary people learning to trust Him one step at a time.

And sometimes His strength shows up most clearly not in dramatic moments…

…but in the simple fact that we are still standing.

Still trusting.
Still moving forward.
Still held by Him.
