Fix Your Eyes on Jesus

If this week has felt heavy, uncertain, or exhausting, take a moment to pause and remember: Jesus is still with you.

You don’t have to have everything figured out. You don’t have to carry tomorrow today. Bring your worries to Him, trust His timing, and keep your eyes fixed on Christ.

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” — Hebrews 12:2

Whatever you’re facing today, you are not facing it alone. Jesus is faithful. His grace is sufficient. His presence is constant.

It's Not too Late For You to Be a Gift

It’s not too late for God to use you as a gift to others. In Ezekiel 33:7–11, God chose Ezekiel to share His message and call the people to “REPENT!” because He desired for them to turn from their sins and live.

Like Ezekiel, we are called to be willing vessels that God can use. No matter where we are or what we’ve done, our purpose is not over. God can still use our lives to encourage others, share His Word, and lead people back to Him.

You may be in a season where nothing makes sense. Keep going.
You may be waiting on an answer. Keep praying.
You may feel like you’re starting over. Remember, God can build something beautiful from the pieces.

What looks like a setback to you may be the very place God is preparing your next chapter.

First Comes the Cross, Then the Crown

Matthew 16:21–26 reminds us that we cannot worship both Jesus and ourselves. As followers of Christ, we are called to deny ourselves, pick up our cross, and follow Him. We are encouraged to trust God rather than relying on our own strength, desires, or sinful nature. When we allow sin and our desire to do things our own way to take over, we can easily put God and our faith aside. Instead, we are called to surrender ourselves to God, put our faith in Him, and remember that our lives are not about what we want, but about trusting God and following where He leads us.

Sometimes we pray about the big things but forget that God also cares about the little things that keep us up at night. Whatever has been weighing on your heart this week, give it to God.

What’s one thing you’re choosing to give to God this week?

In Christ Alone

In Matthew 16:13-20, Jesus asks his disciples who they believe He is, and Peter confesses that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. This confession points us to the truth that our salvation rests in Christ alone. No one else has lived a perfect life or willingly died an innocent death for us. Only Jesus has the authority to forgive our sins completely and give us the promise of eternal life. Through faith in Christ, we can trust that our forgiveness and salvation are found in Him alone.

New school year, new routines!
Kids thrive when mornings feel predictable, calm, and even a little playful. Think silly songs while getting dressed, “sugar monster” toothbrushing, or a special goodbye ritual at dropoff.

We love partnering with families to make mornings smoother, happier, and full of God’s peace. You’ve got this—and we’re cheering you on! Read more in our latest Blog: https://votl.org/preschool-blog/the-routine-shift-moving-from-home-schedules-to-structured-school-mornings/

Midweek Reminder:

Some seasons bring answers. Others require us to wait, trust, and believe when we can’t see the outcome. God doesn’t ask us to understand everything; He asks us to trust Him. So, release the worry, the need to control, and the fear of what’s ahead.

God already knows. God is already there. And God is still working.

Keep your faith. Keep walking. What you’re waiting for may be taking longer than you hoped, but God’s timing is never late.
