On behalf of Katy Magnolia Cemetery, we apologize that our recent clean-up campaign has caused some families to become upset and disappointed with our efforts. Our clean-up campaigns are conducted periodically to ensure that Katy Magnolia Cemetery is well maintained and manicured. We are committed to every family who has a loved one peacefully resting there.
We encourage every family to honor their loved ones in their own unique way. The Cemetery’s guidelines are intended to protect everyone. When placing mementos please consider that essential maintenance of the Cemetery ensures that every family will find it in a condition worthy of honoring their loved ones. Sometimes sentimental items and ornaments are necessarily removed so that we can fulfill our commitments. We always strive to give families as much notice as possible prior to beginning these periodic clean-ups. If our recent notice was not communicated early enough or was not adequate to address this sensitive topic, we apologize for that shortcoming and will commit to improving future communications.
