What a blessing to gather this past Sunday, August 23! Cecil Deadman brought us a powerful message from Philippians 4:6-8,a reminder to trade our anxieties for prayer and to fix our minds on whatever is true, noble, and lovely.

The good news? He'll be back with us again this Sunday! Join us this Labor Day weekend as we worship together. Everyone is welcome, come and be encouraged.

On Tue. 8/11 we had our monthly fellowship luncheon. We began with games, fellowship and then enjoyed lasagna and cake. We celebrated nine people who had birthdays from July and August. It is always a blessing to be with brothers and sisters in Christ, hope you can join us at 11:00am on Sept. 08 for the next one.
On Thursday 8/13 there was a Women's Fellowship and Devotional hosted by Vivian Pyle at her house, the devotional was based on Acts 17 concerning turning an upside down world right side up. We are all blessed by the love and devotion shown by the wonderful ladies at FBCKC.

Last Sunday we had a memorial service for two members of our congregation that had gone to be with our Lord since 2020. They are Weldon (Buddy) Johnson and Florence Wishert. They were honored by surviving family members with a candle lighting ceremony to symbolize the light they brought to this world during their time with us. The service was officiated by Bill Pyle and as with every Sunday service, we were blessed with wonderful hymns and worship music led by Leonard Rodriguez. Come and join us. God is Good!

Last week FBC Karnes City was able to take 13 children to church camp at Alto Frio near Leakey, TX. They learned a lot through the story of Joseph and the many highs and lows of his life from the book of Genesis chapters 37 thru 50. They also had a lot of fun playing games, archery, knife & axe throwing, swimming, outdoor cooking and swatting mosquitos. Today (7/26) we had a wonderful sermon about choosing Godly leaders from the life of King Saul from the book of 1 Samual delivered by Travis Scott, who will be continuing with the life of King David next week. On Sunday, June 28, FBCKC held a memorial service for the church members that have gone to be with the Lord since 2020. Their names are: DUANE BLIETZ, GWEN BROWN, JOANNE DAVENPORT, MJ DAVIS, BRENDA GILLEY, LLOYD KELLNER, MAXINE McNALLY, AVIS SOMMER, Lee ROY WEIGANG, MARY ANNA WEIGANG, SUSAN WISHERT, TIMOTHY WISHERT. Matthew 5:14-16 states that: " You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all the house. In the same way let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in Heaven." A candle was lit in honor of each one of these lovely people who brought Light into our world.

We had an amazing Church service on Sunday, there were 60 people in attendance. Tray Leal had made a public profession of faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was baptized by Pastor, Cory Barnes who also preached a wonderful and very inspiring message. God is Good!

FBCKC was able to send eight youth to camp at EL SHADDAI retreat center near Yorktown. There was a wonderful time of Worship, games and just good Christian fellowship. Two of the campers that we sponsored have made a profession of faith in our LORD JESUS CHRIST. GOD IS GOOD!

Honoring our graduating seniors this Sunday at FBC Karnes City! We recognized each of them, surrounded them in prayer, and sent them off with God's Word: "He hath made every thing beautiful in his time." (Ecclesiastes 3:11) 🌼

Then we celebrated with food, fellowship, and tables honoring each graduate's next chapter! 💙

Seniors, this church family loves you and is praying for you. Congratulations — the best is yet to come! 🙌

Great turnout at our monthly fellowship lunch today! Everyone had a wonderful time playing dominoes and visiting with one another. Such a blessing to share good food, laughter, and fellowship together. Looking forward to next month!
