Breast cancer - and especially Tripple Negative Breast Cancer is devastating for patients, families and friends. It is a nasty disease that many people originally thought primarily minority and marginalized women. Not true. Women who have it most often will die within five years. Much more research and trials are needed.

METAvivor's mission is to transition metastatic breast cancer from a terminal diagnosis to a chronic, manageable disease with a decent quality of life. 100% of your donation goes to research.

Amber Booth, GPPC deacon, and Pastor Rick are heading to the border with a group from Youth Front. We are leaving Friday morning and returning Monday afternoon. Our destination is Ciudad Anuña where many of the Haitian refugees have gathered. We will be visiting the refugees but we will also be meeting with United Nations personnel to discuss needs and ways to partner for relief and support.

This trip was quickly organized and we don't want to go there empty handed. If you can help in any of the ways listed below, please do so. There are specific items needed as well as cash donations. If you can get any of the supplies, let me know so that we can arrange a pick up.

Donations:
We are looking for both cash donations and goods as requested by Maribel Saucedo, Coordinator of Migrant Centers and Haitian Refugees for Ciudad Acuña.

Cash donations are most flexible allowing us to get exactly what locals define as the most urgent and necessary. Also, cash helps us avoid import taxes which are not insignificant. However, locals have said that many items cannot be sourced locally, so physical goods are needed.

Cash donations can be made to Youthfront https://youthfront.com/donate/one-time-donation-gift/here or via https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=4RNP297F3GH6E designated “Donation to Missional Journey”. They are tax-deductible. We will take those donations in the form of cash with us to purchase supplies or distribute as we see most needed.

Highest Priority Needs:

Camping tents

Sleeping mats or cots
