Today Pastor Lamar started our new sermon series for June 🔒 LOCKED IN !

He reminded us that a locked-in believer is dangerous—not because of what they can do, but because of who they refuse to take their eyes off of.

Too often we think God wants more activity, more volunteering, more hustle, and more noise. But before He asks for your hands, He wants your heart. Before He asks for your work, He wants your attention.

God isn’t asking for more activity. He’s asking for more attention.

When your focus is fixed on Him, distractions lose their power, compromise loses its appeal, and purpose becomes clear.

👀 May I have your attention, please?

🔥 I’m In His Hands 🔥

Life doesn’t always make sense. There are seasons of uncertainty, unexpected changes, and moments when we don’t know what comes next. But as believers, we have a confidence that the world can’t take away:

“But I trust in You, O Lord; I say, ‘You are my God.’ My times are in Your hand.” — Psalm 31:14-15

When we place our lives in God’s hands, we place them in the safest place possible. Every moment, every challenge, every victory, and every delay is under His care. We don’t have to carry tomorrow because God is already there.

And just as Micah 2:13 declares, The Breaker goes before us! He breaks through obstacles, opens closed doors, and makes a way where there seems to be no way.

Today, choose trust over fear.
Choose surrender over control.
Choose faith over frustration.

🙌 Hour by hour, day by day, we place our lives in His hands.

Sunday Recap 🔥

A flash is quick… but a fire burns.

Today’s word from Bible Romans 12:11-12 reminded us that God never called us to momentary excitement or temporary passion. He called us to burn for Him.

Too often we settle for flashes—short bursts of emotion, quick moments of inspiration, temporary zeal that fades as soon as life gets uncomfortable. But God is not looking for a flash. He’s looking for a fire that keeps burning.

Pastor reminded us:
🔥 God is not a thermostat — He’s not adjustable to culture, convenience, or comfort.
🔥 We need to stay on fire for God — even when life gets hard
🔥 We were created to burn with passion, zeal, and spiritual fervor

The question is:
What happened to our heat?

It’s time to stir up the fire again. To reject lukewarm faith. To stay joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.

Don’t let your flame become a flicker.
Burn for God.

You’ve got dynamite in you. 💥

Today Pastor Lamar preached from Acts 1:8 which reminds us that when the Holy Spirit comes upon us, we don’t walk in our own strength — we walk in God’s power.

Too often we underestimate what God has placed inside of us. The same power that raised Christ is at work in us, equipping us to stand boldly, witness faithfully, and live purposefully.

This isn’t about hype.
This is about Holy Spirit power.

Stop doubting what God has already deposited in you.
You are filled, equipped, and empowered for every assignment He has called you to.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses...” — Acts 1:8

What the enemy meant for death, God used to give life.
What looked buried... was being reborn.
He is risen-and because of that, so can you be.

Today Elder talked to us about the church going AWOL!
It’s easy to show up in the building, but are we showing up for the assignment? Too often we get caught up in life and go spiritually AWOL when it’s time for warfare. Your sorrow, your distractions, your comfort—none of that cancels your calling.

A YES that produces nothing isn’t a YES… it’s a YET.

God didn’t call you for approval—He called you for purpose. People are the assignment.

“For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you…” (Deuteronomy 20:4)

Step back in position. Show up. Fight forward.

Sometimes the hardest part of faith isn’t hearing God — it’s responding to what He reveals.

Revelation is a gift, but it requires movement. When God opens our eyes, He’s inviting us to step forward in obedience, faith, and action.

Don’t let what God showed you stop at recognition. Let it lead to transformation.

Recognition without a response is wasted revelation.
