It was a busy but exciting weekend for our ward family! Emma Moore went through the temple and Kennedy Belnap was baptized. ❤️

Hello everyone! We are trying to get this ward Facebook up and running. We are very excited about it but we need some help. If you know of anyone in the ward that is NOT a member of this page would you kindly add them. If we all just take a minute to do this it can go quickly vs just one person adding everyone taking a lot longer. Thank you all! 😊

For our adapted Youth Conference this year our ward provided service in the Metro Lutheran Ministries garden where those in the neighborhood can have fresh produce.

During our time we were able to:
- wheelbarrow mulch around and treat 15 fruit trees
- lay ground fabric to prevent w**d growth
- thin fruit trees
- remove a few debris piles and load into truck

Our youth did a great job and MLM is very appreciative of all their work!

Sister Barnhart left early from Kansas City traveling all day and overnight to arrive in Croatia. She 'entered' the home MTC in March (virtual MTC from home), was released as a missionary as she waited for things to open back up and now is super happy to be sharing her testimony with those in the North Adriatic area.

Last week our Priest Quorum and a few others helped serve in a community garden Metro Lutheran Ministries has in downtown KC. In the short time they served they:
• Created 2 new gardening beds, ripping up old w**ds, laying w**d mat and wheel barrowed 1.5 cubic yards of soil
• Fruit tree thinning and composting
• Cleanup trash and loading an 8 ft truck bed with walls full
of apple tree branches that had been over grown with
w**ds
• Installed a 4x4 post and poured concrete for a future
garden sign

A message from Bishop -

I was staring out the window looking at the beautiful Spring weather that past few days. Through all this stuff happening in the human world, good or bad. All our minds are caught up and consumed with things impacted by a singular event. Nature just continues on. The trees are blossoming. The grass is turning greener. The birds chirping at 5:30 this morning were nice to listen to with our window open.

It was a good reminder that with all the ‘noise’ there is a constant, a steady that is not influenced. It is a different constant than that provided by the Savior. A reality coexisting among all the other realities, real or fabricated.

I hope you are enjoying our beautiful Spring weather!
