On the road to Emmaus, two disciples walk away from Jerusalem carrying disappointment. Jesus comes alongside them, but they do not recognize him.

As they tell him everything that happened - the cross, the empty tomb, the shattered hopes - you can hear the ache in their words: “We had hoped…”

They had hoped Jesus would redeem Israel. Hoped he would change everything. Hoped their future had finally arrived. But now all they can see is loss.

So Jesus meets them there. He walks with them, listens to their sorrow, and begins to reframe their story through the Scriptures. Later, at the table, he breaks bread and suddenly their eyes are opened. The one they thought was absent had been with them the whole way.

That is the good news of Emmaus: even when disappointment blinds us, Christ still draws near. Even when we think the story is over, Christ comes to open up a new future for us.

We were made for shared life, honest conversation, prayer, and the kind of encouragement that helps steady us in a restless world.

Tonight, our Women’s Group gathers at 7 PM at our church for a space to connect, be refreshed, and grow together. If you’re a woman who has been looking for community, this is a good place to begin.

We’d love to have you with us!

You miiiiight notice a few small changes to our space tomorrow (like a missing layer on the stage in the sanctuary and youth room 👀).

On Friday evening, a group of volunteers jumped in to do some demo work, laying the foundation for a new stage design in both spaces. We’re so excited to see it all come together over the next few weeks!

Quick heads up for families: all of our kids classes will be upstairs in the Kid’s City area this Sunday while their spaces are being renovated, but everything will be back to normal next week.

Thanks for being a flexible! See you tomorrow at 9 or 10:30!

SUNDAY IS COMING!! 😊

We can’t wait to see you in just a couple days.

We have a great Sunday in store as we continue our series “Everyone is Entitled to a Future”.

Invite a friend and let’s gather to find our way back to God together!

“The Earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it…” (Psalm 24:1)

On this Earth Day, we remember that the world is not merely raw material to be used, but a gift entrusted to our care. The soil, the air, the unseen labor of seeds beneath the surface—these are not incidental to our lives with God, but part of the very place where our life with God unfolds.

As John Zizioulas writes, we are called to be priests of creation: those who gather the world in gratitude, who offer it back to God in thanksgiving, and who refuse to treat it as disposable.

To be a human creature is not simply to live on the earth, but to stand within it and live from it—to treat it with care: to bless the land that blesses us, to tend the plants that make our living possible, to receive the gifts of sun and rain, and to return thanks to our common Creator - the Father who makes himself known in the flesh of the Son by the Spirit.

Perhaps this day is less about grand gestures and more about recovering a posture: learning again to see the world as luminous with God’s presence, and to live gratefully and responsibly, in such a way that our lives become an offering for its healing.

“Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them (John 20:25-26)

Because of how doubt is often talked about in church when it comes to us we can feel this panicked pressure to resolve it as quickly as possible.

We treat doubt like a fire that needs to be extinguished immediately. But what if God wants our doubts to be more like a furnace meant to refine us. What if we resolve our doubts quicker than God wants us to? Jesus waits 7 days before appearing to Thomas again. We rush toward easy answers because we are afraid of the tension, afraid of those 7 days, afraid that if we stay in the “unless” for too long, our faith might actually dissolve.

But what if our faith is formed just as much in the process of doubting as it is in the resolution of our doubts?

We exist to help people find their way back to God.

Whether you feel close to God, far from Him, or unsure if you even believe in him, this is an open invitation.

There’s a place for you here in this community.

Some of our Restore Youth crew had a GREAT time Sunday night working on their space!

They’ve got a clear vision for what they want this room to become, and we can’t wait to see the finished product take shape. It’s going to be a welcoming, hospitable place for them and their friends.

If you’d like to help bring their vision to life consider purchasing an item off their Amazon wishlist here:

Last Sunday we came together to proclaim that Christ is risen (He is risen indeed!). It was a beautiful time of worship but Easter was never meant to be a one-Sunday celebration. It is a season, a way of living in the light of resurrection that stretches from last Sunday to Pentecost. It is Eastertide!

So we will gather again tomorrow - not to repeat Easter, but to keep living in the story. To be formed, week by week, into a people who live the future of resurrection today.

See you at 9 & 10:30!

Can’t wait to be together again.

In our world, the past usually dictates the future: trauma begets trauma, hurt people hurt people, cycles of violence repeat themselves relentlessly, what we were told about ourselves becomes the script we live out.

But Jesus comes to us from the “other side of death” to announce a new reality: that no one’s past is dominant over their future. In and through the risen Christ, the future of all creation has now broken into the present. And this life of resurrection—this life beyond death that awaits all of creation—can be lived in today.

In this new series, we will explore this good news by diving into the post-resurrection accounts of Jesus - these encounters where the future of God collides with people still living as if the past has the final word.

Hope to see you Sunday for “EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO A FUTURE”! 🙌
