2026 KC Temple Run • Monday, September 7th @ 8am. Come celebrate the 15th year! Since then, the run has become an annual tradition.

To celebrate the building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' Kansas City Temple, the first Kansas City Temple Run was organized in 2010.

One week until the Kansas City Temple Run! PLEASE plan on coming to check-in early and pick up your T-shirt and timing bib on Saturday, September 5th from 2-4pm at the Liberty Stake Center. We expect a lot of people checking in so we are asking for you to come early to reduce the congestion on Monday morning. Thank you!

Calling all runners, walkers, strollers…. THE TIME IS NOW! The deadline to guarantee a T-shirt is tomorrow, Monday the 24th. We have to submit the order by tomorrow so if you want to guarantee a T-shirt and correct size, please get on and register by tomorrow.

The 15th annual Kansas City Temple Run is excited to announce the 2026 charity partnership with Special Olympics Missouri (SOMO). The Mission of Special Olympics Missouri is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

Your registration to the 2026 Kansas City Temple Run will help us support Special Olympics Missouri. If you are able, and would like to donate in addition to your registration, we would really appreciate your help reaching our $1000 goal.

Whether you're on a training run or in the backyard, make hydration part of your game plan. Hydrate today. Perform tomorrow!!!!

*Aim for 16oz water or an electrolyte drink 2 - 3 hours before your run or race.
*Sip on water or electrolytes 15-45 min before your run or race.

Be sure to practice on training runs, hydrating your body to feel your best.

There will be water on the course! 💦💦

Hebrews 12:1

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

At the Temple Run, we will literally and physically "Run to the Temple." May we also spiritually "Run to the Temple" by laying aside every weight, and the sins which do so easily beset us as it says in Hebrews 12:1.

Doctrine & Covenants 89 is know as the Word of Wisdom. Most commonly, we think of abstaining from drugs, alcohol, to***co, coffee and tea. But the Word of Wisdom also teaches us to eat healthy and take care of our bodies. We are promised in verse 20 that if we are obedient, we "shall run and not be weary, and shall walk and not faint."

Six weeks until the Kansas City Temple Run. What an opportunity to commit to improving your health and fitness by registering for this year's run. We look forward to seeing you out there.
