"Holy Wow!" with Rev. Anne Tabor

Sometimes your soul doesn’t need another explanation. It needs a reason to look up.

This Sunday, Rev. Anne concludes our series inspired by Anne Lamott’s book Help, Thanks, Wow with a message called “Holy Wow!” After Help gets us honest, and Thanks reminds us to notice what carried us through, Wow is the prayer that wakes us back up to the wonder we’ve been too tired, too busy, or too worried to see.

Because awe is not a luxury for people with extra time and perfect lives. It is spiritual oxygen. It is what happens when life taps you on the shoulder and says, “Look again. You’re missing the good stuff.” This series has reminded us that prayer does not have to be long, polished, or impressive to be powerful.

It can be as simple as the holy gasp that says: Wow.

Special music provided by EnVee and Robert Hartley.

"Oh, Thank God!" with Rev. Anne Tabor

Gratitude does not always arrive wearing a halo.

Sometimes it shows up after the scare passes, after the help arrives, after you realize you are still standing. Which means “thank you” does not always mean everything is wonderful. Sometimes it means, “I can finally see the good that helped me make it through.”

This Sunday, Rev. Anne continues with part two of our series inspired by Anne Lamott’s book Help, Thanks, Wow: The Three Essential Prayers with a message called “Oh, Thank God!” Together, we’ll look at the simple prayer of Thanks — not as spiritual politeness, but as a way of noticing the goodness that is still here.

So often the most honest prayer is not poetic at all. It is the moment we stop long enough to recognize the grace that helped us make it through.

"The God Box" with Rev. Anne Tabor

What do you do with the things that keep you awake at 3am?

This Sunday, Rev. Anne begins a new Sunday series inspired by Anne Lamott’s beloved book Help, Thanks, Wow with a message called “The God Box.” Because eventually the overthinking, managing, and holding it all together stops working… and the only honest prayer left is: Help.

With humor and wisdom, Lamott reminds us that we were never meant to carry everything by ourselves. And if your brain has been running laps lately… this one may feel like a deep breath.

Special music provided by EnVee and Robert Pherigo.
