Today my parent’s home for 63 years has officially sold. (They are about to celebrate their 72nd anniversary!) I spent the first 18 years of my life in this house in Eaton Rapids, MI. Since leaving this house, I’ve had 13 other addresses in 5 different states and am not a particularly sentimental person when it comes to houses. However, there is something about seeing the SOLD sign in front of my childhood home that is different than all the other houses I’ve sold. I’m grateful for all the great memories this house holds, for how much joy it brought my parents, and for my wonderful siblings as we all worked together to get it cleaned out.

What a fun day to return to Gashland UMC to preach and present them with a Missouri United Methodist Foundation ministry grant that will benefit A Turning Point and their cold winter shelter housed at Gashland. I’m so proud of this partnership of the church I used to pastor and the organization where I now serve on ther board! I was also reminded today that Gashland has some of the best people I’ve ever been in ministry with…pictured are a few, many were in worship! Love you all!
