Dear Parish Family,

Due to the forecast of 3–5 inches of snow, we find it necessary to once again cancel Mass this Sunday and postpone the Annual Meeting to the following Sunday, February 8.

Please consider joining in Morning Prayer at home at 10:00 a.m. Morning Prayer begins on page 3 of the Book of Common Prayer. The readings for Septuagesima Sunday are:

- Psalms 20 (p. 364) and 121 (p. 502)
- Old Testament: Joshua 1:1–9
- New Testament: 2 Timothy 2:1–13
- The Collect: p. 118

On Wednesday, instead of Bible Study, we will celebrate Mass at 6:00 p.m.

In your prayers, please remember two of our fellow parishioners, Raymond and his wife Denise. Raymond was taken to the hospital on Wednesday and is currently in the ICU with pneumonia. Denise remains faithfully by his side.

Thank you for your understanding and prayers. Stay safe and warm.

Blessings,
Father Walker

Due to a forecast of a 100% chance of freezing rain and temperatures remaining in the mid-20s throughout the day, Mass is canceled this Sunday for the safety of our congregation.

As a result, the Annual Meeting will be postponed and will take place on the following Sunday, February 1st.

Fr. Walker encourages everyone to observe Morning Prayer at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday from home. Morning Prayer can be found on page 3 of the Book of Common Prayer. The psalms appointed for Sunday are Psalm 42 (page 392) and Psalm 43 (page 394). The Old Testament reading is Isaiah 41:8–10 and 17–20, and the New Testament reading is John 4:1–14.

Please stay safe, and we look forward to being together again next Sunday.

Baptisms and Confirmations at St Nicholas Orthodox Anglican Church!

After a year of prayerfully establishing the vision and direction of the church, both the congregation and clergy have continued to lean in wholeheartedly. By God’s grace, we have witnessed three baptisms, five confirmations, five first communions, and a steady stream of new visitors joining us regularly. In addition, three men have been ordained from within the parish itself.

Truly, 2025 has been a year for the history books. In spite of the enemy working aganst us, God’s Church has continued not only to stand firm but to thrive. We eagerly look forward to seeing how God moves in 2026 and beyond!

Collect for Thanksgiving Day:
O MOST merciful Father, who hast blessed the labours of the husbandman in the returns of the fruits of the earth; We give thee humble and hearty thanks for this thy bounty; beseeching thee to continue thy loving-kindness to us, that our land may still yield her increase, to thy glory and our comfort; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
