“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It is with a heavy and saddened heart that we share the passing of Bro. Randy and Sis. Vickie McClamrock last night. Together, they entered into the presence of their Lord and Savior in Glory.

We are all deeply shocked and heartbroken by this tragic loss, and our church family grieves alongside those who loved them so dearly.

We would like to invite everyone to join us for a prayer vigil at the church this evening at 7:00 PM as we come together to honor their lives, pray for their family, and seek comfort in the Lord during this difficult time.

One arrested and four sought after using stolen credit card information to book skydiving trip

On December 26, 2023, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into credit card fraud that occurred at Piedmont Skydiving located at 500 Airport Road in Salisbury. Investigators received information that in November of 2023, multiple people had booked skydiving trips online using credit cards that did not belong to them. These same individuals arrived at Piedmont Skydiving for the trip and completed liability waivers listing out their real information to include, name, date of birth, address, and driver license numbers.

The business also took photographs of the offenders as a part of their experience.
In December 2023, Piedmont Skydiving received notice from credit card companies that the real card holders were disputing the charges. Investigators went to the business and obtained the evidence already collected and later confirmed the identities of the suspects.

Arrest warrants were obtained for Shyia E-Money Gatlin (23 of Charlotte), Maurice Dermont Hunter Jr (31 of Charlotte), Jaylah Simone Hyter (24 of Charlotte), and Alexis Monique Chisholm (25 of Charlotte) for one count of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. Another suspect, Michael-Chase Gregory Gatling (24 of Charlotte), has warrants for two counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses.

Chisholm was located and arrested on April 24th in Anson County. She was placed in the Anson County Jail under a $1,000 secured bond. The other four suspects are still wanted and are currently being sought for arrest. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these subjects are asked to call Detective Daniel Fero (704- 216-8702) or Lt. Ryan Barkley (704-216-8711).
