The lessons that tend to stick with us best are quite often the ones learned experientially. Perhaps that is why God, in His wisdom, wove the truths about His relationship to us into the most influential relationships in our lives. The Apostle Paul made clear that the most exclusive and intimate human relationship, the one between a husband and wife, is a better picture of the gospel (when done His way) than any sermon you will ever hear. So today, we'll hear a sermon about the sermon marriage teaches us everyday.

Anything you run to that is not God's spirit.

There is a way we walk when the path is obviously smooth and clear, but there is another manner in which we walk when we know there is possible danger in every next step. Think walking in the woods where snakes may live, or in the yard where a large dog lives. You get the picture. The Apostle Paul takes the imagery of a careful walk and applies it to careful living and for the same reason. There is danger lurking. That has been Paul's message from the onset of Chapter 5 in Ephesians and it continues with a strong warning about a coming wrath, and then a charge to wake up! Today we celebrated God’s faithfulness and stepped into a brand new chapter together.

Two churches. Two stories. One church family.

We’re grateful for every prayer prayed, every life changed, every person who served, and every step of faith that brought us to this moment.

As much as today was about remembering what God has done, it was also about looking ahead with expectation for what He will do next.

The Church at Shadybrook is officially here! 🎉🙌

We believe the best is still ahead as we continue to Love God. Love People. Serve the World.
