The Kannapolis Fire Department would like me to remind all of our members that live in the city limits, that the FD will do free safety inspections of your home, and will even provide FREE smoke and CO2 detectors, including free installation, if required.

Smoke Detectors and CO2 detectors have an expiration date! Not everyone knows this.

Let Pastor Steve know if you would like a form to have Inspector Goodman schedule an appointment.

(In some cases, he can come even if you live outside the city limits)

In the year King Uzziah died, Isaiah had a vision. He saw God sitting on His throne and saw that His throne was high and lifted up. There were angels present, and they were singing a song of praise. Isaiah saw smoke, and an altar filled with burning incense. And then Isaiah heard one of the angels say, “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!”

I've read the Bible through many times, and I will stand on this--that is the most important statement in the entire Bible!

Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD God Almighty.

Of all the attributes of God, His holiness is His chief character.

In the Hebrew language, the repeating of a word is a way of elevating the tense. For instance, we have the terms Good; Better; and Best. There is no way of elevating the tense like this in Hebrew. So, they would say something was Good; or it was Good, Good. If it was the best thing ever, they would say it was The Goodest.

Nah; they would say it was Good, Good, Good.

God's holiness is the only one of His attributes that is ever--in all Scripture-- elevated to the third degree.
God is never called, Love, Love, Love.
He is never called, Mercy, Mercy, Mercy
He is never even called Grace, Grace, Grace.

I don't mean to over promises and under deliver here, but in my humble (but accurate) opinion--- this is easily the most important statement in Scripture: Because it tells us what makes God, God, and us, us.
Holiness is NOT something God possesses! It is what God IS!!!!!!

And so, the #1 reason we ought to praise God, worship God, sing to God, exalt God, and prioritize God; is because God IS Holy

This week, God Is...Holy.
