Hi - Jean Brown here. Something quite odd happened to Messenger - it completely eradicated my Messenger Women's Ministry group! So, when I tried to send out the June study for Meeting Jesus On The Road, I couldn't use the list I had! Therefore, I'm building a new chat group for Women's Ministry. I included BPC women with FaceBook presence in my new list. Some regularly attend monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of every month and have gotten next month's Lesson 4 already, either emailed or as a Messenger attachment. Others may have come to some meetings in the past and for whatever reason haven't been to a meeting recently. That's OK - WE WANT YOU! 😄 SRSLY, the study we had been doing of the Book Of Isaiah, begun last year, was paused for a Lenten study, Meeting Jesus On The Road. Since after Easter, we are all "Easter People" we will continue this study until we end it with Lesson 7, and then we will return to our study of the Book Of Isaiah, The Holy One Of Israel. Those who have taken active part of both studies have found much of value in each of these, and have deepened our faith thereby. If you want Lesson 4 but didn't get it (emailed or in PDF format), so that you may be able to open it and read it before Tuesday, let me know. If you are unable to join us, we still would like you to know what we are doing as a group. As is our long-standing tradition, our July meeting will be a meal out together. We are thinking of going to Grounds & Vine, at Gateway Center.

Excellent Presbytery meeting today! In partnership with Bethpage United Presbyterian Church, USA, friends from Gilwood Presbyterian Church and some other guests, pastors and ruling elders from Presbytery of Charlotte held the 170th meeting. Registration and check-in went smoothly, and attendees enjoyed the morning breakfast items. During a stirring worship service, new General Presbyter-Elect, Rev. Steven Werth, delivered an encouraging sermon. The message was "Stop looking where God was, and start looking where God is." Following the service, the meeting re-convened and went until noon, and the representatives then broke for lunch - BBQ with all the fixin's, and many round table discussions in the Fellowship Hall. All of those who put in the work were delighted to see it culminate in a successful meeting. GLAD Y'ALL WERE HERE!
