🌿 FIX YOUR FOCUS. What a powerful morning at The Altar Church!
Today we fixed our focus on Jesus, the True Vine, and the Father, our Gardener. We were reminded that our lives aren’t meant to be lived disconnected, striving, or trying to produce fruit on our own. Everything flows from abiding in Him.
We took a look at Isaiah 61 and the beautiful divine exchange that Jesus makes available to us…beauty for ashes, joy instead of mourning, praise instead of heaviness. He takes what is broken and makes something beautiful grow from it.
And then we connected that to the powerful imagery of the tree in Psalm 1:
🌱 Planted
🌱 Rooted
🌱 Nourished
🌱 Fruitful
🌱 Unshaken
The question isn’t simply, “What kind of fruit am I producing?”
The question is, “Where are my roots?”
Because when our roots are planted in the right place, fruit becomes the overflow.
So this week, let’s fix our focus church.
Not on the storm.
Not on the fruit: good or bad.
Not on what everyone else is doing.
Look to Jesus. Check your roots. Abide in the Vine.
Let the Gardener do His work. 🌿
Jesus is still making all things new.
