Dear Friends!
On November 8, 1925, the first Divine Liturgy was held in our beautiful Annunciation Church in Kankakee. After exactly 100 years as our spiritual home, that lovely little church at Washington
and Chestnut Avenues will celebrate its 100th Anniversary with a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

This Hundredth Anniversary service, and a week of wonderful commemorative and homecoming activities, will constitute a celebration absolutely not to be missed.

Here's the updated schedule:

Sunday, November 2,
-4:00 pm, Kankakee Civic Auditorium, 803 S. 8th Avenue, Musical Variety Show celebrating
our 100-year history: Music, Mezedakia, and Memories. Free Admission.

Friday, November 7,
- 6:00 pm, Annunciation Parish Hall, Welcome Home Reception

Saturday, November 8,
- 10:00 am, Reunion Breakfast, Family House Restaurant, 312 S. Kennedy Street, Bradley
- 1:00 pm, Annunciation Memorial Garden, Memorial Service for all past Parishioners
- 6:00 pm, Annunciation Church, Great Vespers, followed by reception in Parish Hall

Sunday, November 9,
- 9:00/10:00 am, Annunciation Church, Hierarchical Orthros and Divine Liturgy, feast day of Saint Nektarios, followed by reception in Parish Hall
- 1:00 pm, Trisagion Services at Mound Grove Cemetery, as Requested.
-4:00 pm, Cocktails, Quality Inn, 800 N. Kinzie Street, Bradley
- 5:00 pm Grand Banquet, Quality Inn, 800 N. Kinzie Street, Bradley

All events are free of charge, except the Grand Banquet:

Adult ticket for the Grand Banquet is $100
Child's ticket for the Grand Banquet is $25

Thank you to everyone who came out for our Annual Greek Festival!!! It was a great success thanks to all of you!

If you would like to help us help the needy, come out to the Greek Orthodox Church again, this Friday and Saturday, October 11th and 12th 10am-2pm, for our Philoptocos Society Garage Sale. All proceeds will go to charity.
