It is very easy to lose sight of our purpose here on earth. We get so distracted by everything around us: fun, entertainment, money, and being noticed. However... everything around us is not why we are here. Like going on vacation and never really arriving at our destination because there were so many other different things to see and experience. As Christians, our purpose is to become, to be transformed, into the Image of Christ, to love, and to be Love for others. So let's keep our eyes on the destination and bypass the distractions.

In prayer I received the following: This coming year will be one to be anticipated. It will be one of unexpected surprises. Those with faith will need to be strong, circumstances will come to rob you of your joy. Hold fast to what you know in Christ. What appears to be a blessing will be a curse, and that which appears to be a curse will be a blessing. Clarity will come in prayer. Be faithful to the calling God has given you. Do not look to the left or to the right as if that's where you should be, but rather, be single-eyed in what God has purposed you to do. You will need to stop complaining and be steadfast in your love, proving itself in the midst of adversity, being transformed in prayer. Above all, be attentive to the Holy Spirit; for He will speak to you in dreams, in circumstances, and in your participation in the Sacrament.

SUNDAY OF HOLY WEEK
It started out quite innocently. The women started out toward the tomb at dawn, as the sun cracked through the sky.Their first thought was, "How are we going to move that stone?" As they moved toward the tomb, they saw that the stone had already been removed and they could see into the grave. It was empty... Their hearts sunk within them... someone had stolen the body! Now, not only was Jesus dead, He was gone. Someone had desecrated the tomb. They began looking around the area... Where was He? Who could do something so cruel? Suddenly, Mary spots the gardener and rushes up to him, "Sir, if you have stolen the body, please tell us where you have taken him?" As the gardener began to turn, He seemed to look familiar to her. Then He said her name. She knew exactly who He was. "Go tell my brothers that I have risen as I said." So excited. She ran as fast as her feet would carry her. "The Lord is alive!!!! The Lord is alive !!!," She screamed. "He has risen just as He said." Holy Week just got easier.... The Sign of Jonah had been revealed.

Saturday of Holy Week
It is the Sabbath. It is the day of rest. The followers of Jesus are stunned. Such a turn of events. Just last week, it seemed they were going to crown him their king and now He is gone. Dead. Buried. They were blindsided. Fear of being next on the Scribes and Pharisees list grips the Apostles to the point none of them even recount what they did that day. They were hiding. Although the Apostles were powerless, Jesus was not. Christ descended into the Realm of the Dead and preached Salvation to those who were waiting for Him. Then, He led those who believed into the Heavenly Realm and presented to the Father His Blood, the Blood of the Eternal Sacrifice, the Blood of Forgiveness. Fear not my friends, for "The Sign of Jonah" is about to be revealed.
