We've been a bit quiet on social media, but we've been busy building new ways to serve our community as God guides us in new ways. Here are some highlights from this summer:
Brightside Play Ministry: We have been working on remodeling our old youth space to better serve our upcoming expansion of Brightside Ministries - Brightside Play Space. We continue to build relationships (like at the Farmer's Market) and equipment as we look forward to our September 12 opening date.
Community Service: This summer, we've partnered with our sister churches and the Merchant Street Food Pantry to feed and clothe our neighbors. We packed rice blessing bags, homed the Saturday ACOM food pantry, and provided a space for our sister church Caldwell Chapel to share a clothing drive.
Supporting the next generation of UMC leaders: This August, we have sent off two of our very own to seminary. Tony and Chloe are furthering their education and preparing for ordination in the UMC at Boston University School of Theology and Princeton Theological Seminary this fall. We have been blessed by their service and will continue to hold them in prayer.
