Sunday Inspiration: POWER TO CHANGE
Scripture: Galatians 5:16-25; Romans 12:1-2
Last week we talked about the Power to Be.
We learned that before God uses us to do something, He transforms who we are. We discovered that the Holy Spirit doesn't just change what we do—He changes who we are becoming.
But that leads us to a very important question:
If the Holy Spirit is changing who I am, what does that change actually look like?
Because transformation is more than an emotional church service.
It's more than shouting.
More than speaking in tongues.
More than attending church.
Real transformation shows up in how we live every day.
The truth is, many of us have areas in our lives that need changing.
Some need healing from past hurts.
Some need freedom from old habits.
Some need deliverance from toxic thinking.
Some need to learn how to love, forgive, trust, and obey God at a deeper level.
The good news is this:
God never asks us to change ourselves.
He gives us the Holy Spirit to transform us from the inside out.
Galatians tells us that when we walk in the Spirit, we begin producing fruit that reflects the character of Christ.
Love where there used to be bitterness.
Peace where there used to be anxiety.
Patience where there used to be frustration.
Self-control where there used to be struggle.
Romans 12 tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
That means God wants to change not only our behavior but also our thinking.
Because when your mind changes, your life changes.
When your perspective changes, your decisions change.
When your heart changes, your relationships change.
And when the Holy Spirit changes you, people begin to see Jesus in you.
So this week we're asking:
What area of my life is God trying to transform?
Because the same Spirit that empowers us to be also empowers us to change.
And here's the shout:
You don't have to stay where you are.
You don't have to remain stuck.
You don't have to remain bound.
You don't have to remain broken.
The Holy Spirit gives us the power to change.
