Think of these seven last words not merely as words spoken to the world in general, but as personal words, spoken to you. Before Jesus died, he was thinking of you and what you would be doing through this year, this month, this day. He wants to give you a certain message to encourage you, comfort you, or challenge you. Quoted from No Greater Love by Edward Sri, Theologian

The Seven Last, Words are:

"Father, Forgive Them; For They Know Not What They Do" (Luke 23:34)

"Today You Will Be with Me in Paradise" (Luke 23:43)

"Behold, Your Son ... Behold, Your Mother" (John 19:26-27)

"My God, My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me?" (Matthew 27:46)

"I Thirst" (John 19:28)

"It Is Finished" (John 19:30)

"Father, Into You Hands I Commit My Spirit" (Luke 23:46)

This has been an amazing experience. I am so glad that I decided to join this experience through St. Mary's. These last seven words (statements, my words as I understand them) have truly made me reflect on my life as a Christian. Thank you St. Mary of the Woods for this beautiful experience and thank you Bob Bowersox for all your efforts especially during this crazy time so we can till experience this.

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I will begin this day.

I thank you, Lord, for having preserved me during the night. I will do my best to make all I do today pleasing to You and in accordance with Your will. My dear mother Mary, watch over me this day. My Guardian Angel, take care of me. St. Joseph and all you saints of God, pray for me.

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all my relatives and friends, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father.

I wish to gain all the indulgences attached to the prayers I shall say and the good works I shall perform this day. Amen.
