Tomorrow, April 3rd, from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, we will be hosting our Good Friday Experience in the church sanctuary. This is a self-guided journey through the stations of the cross (the final hours of Jesus’ life to his crucifixion). You can walk through in just a few minutes, but I’d invite you to plan on 20-30 minutes so that you can prayerfully reflect on the love of Jesus for you as demonstrated in his suffering and death.

Ash Wednesday gathering
Feb. 18, 6PM

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a season where we can voluntarily join Jesus in his journey to the cross.
And resurrection.
Our Ash Wednesday gathering will be an opportunity for us to consider how we might keep company with Jesus in the pain of his betrayal and crucifixion, and more fully rejoice in his defeat of sin and death.

Ash Wednesday begins the Lenten season, a period of time leading up to Easter.
During this season, we recognize our humanity, our need for a savior, and we return to Jesus in the spaces we have wandered. Many followers of Jesus will choose to fast from food or abstain from pleasures in order to create space to be with Jesus.

We hope you find a meaningful way to move towards Jesus this Lenten season.

Gather with us tonight as we observe Ash Wednesday and begin the Lenten season together.

This week our reading and meditation is from Mark 15:16-39.

As you spent time with this passage, consider the different responses people had to Jesus.
How do you want to respond to Jesus?

This week our reading and meditation is from Mark 12:1-37.
As you slowly read (or listen to this passage), ask the Holy Spirit to be your teacher and consider a couple of questions:
1. Is Jesus my cornerstone, the thing that I base my life upon?
2. Does the way I live align with what I say I believe?

Our text this week is Mark chapter 11.

As you read this passage, consider a couple questions:
- How important is it to Jesus that we are fruitful? (As seen through Jesus’ interactions with the fig tree and the temple, both of which displayed no discernible fruit).
- How important is forgiveness in the life of a Jesus follower? (As seen through Jesus’ instructions for prayer).
