Eternal God, we pray for your blessing on ALL schools… that they may be places of learning and safety where teachers and staff challenge the minds and nurture the hearts of ALL students. Grant that ALL teachers, students, staff, families, *and* our communities work together in mutual respect and find joy in the challenges of academic life; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and our Lord. OUR SPECIAL BLESSING OF THE BACKPACKS will be on Sunday 8/30 toward the beginning of our 10 a.m. service. This special blessing that we do each year will again be for ALL students, teachers, staff, and their families who are leaning into the challenges and promise of another school year!

Happy Independence Day from Lutheran Disaster Response.

As we celebrate the Fourth of July, we give thanks for the blessings of community, freedom, and the opportunity to serve our neighbors in times of need.

Across the country, Lutheran Disaster Response walks alongside individuals, families, and communities recovering from disasters, responding with compassion, hope, and God's love. This holiday reminds us that our strength is found not only in our independence, but also in our commitment to one another.

As you gather with family and friends, we invite you to keep in your prayers all those affected by disasters and those working tirelessly to support recovery efforts.

May your Independence Day be filled with joy, gratitude, and hope.

Our time of fellowship after worship THIS SUNDAY (7/5) will benefit these efforts--those of Lutheran Disaster Response and their work to respond to this humanitarian crisis.

Venezuela is facing a humanitarian crisis after two powerful earthquakes devastated communities throughout the country.

Lutheran Disaster Response is responding through trusted, long-standing partners in the region, including The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Venezuela (IELV).

ELCA partners have deployed assessment teams to affected areas, working together to identify urgent needs, provide immediate relief (e.g. food, shelter, water) and coordinate a plan for long-term assistance.

With your help, Lutheran Disaster Response will support people affected by the earthquakes in Venezuela.
