MISSION STATEMENT
The Church is Unique in that its Goals and Objectives are not determined by its Constituency. Through Our Obedience in the Word of God, the goals and objectives have been predetermined and are based upon the four major areas of concern in the Universal Church: Stewardship, (To Inspire Vital Christian Living); Mission, (To Help Those In Need); Education, (To Teach the Christian W
ay); and Evangelism (To Reach the Unchurched). VISION
The Vision which God has given for the Tabernacle Church of God in Christ is inclusive, wholistic and centered around providing ministry for the total man. In order for the body of Christ to fulfill the mandate given to it, all of these areas must be developed and fully equipped to do ministry which will be conducive to stronger families and communities. We will provide Systematic preaching of the gospel which will not only save man, but will also build him up in the Body of Christ, ensuring that he will become a well-rounded, mature, spiritual being who seeks to have a Life Changing Experience through the Word of God. Matthew 7:24, 25)
Our ministry focuses on rebuilding generations that have fallen victim to life’s pitfalls, and provide an alternative to mediocrity. (Isaiah 58:12) We will accomplish this through diverse ministries that embrace all facets of life. We will challenge and equip our youth by providing an Early Childhood Development Center, Youth Center, Rites of Passage: Boys to Men and Girls to Ladies. The Singles Ministry empowers singles to live a complete life without feeling subservient or secondary. The Dysfunctional Family is ministered to and shown how to evolve into productive, functional family units. Educational excellence will be achieved by every believer contributing and utilizing their God-given talents and skills for the enrichment of individual lives, showing compassion for the lost and disadvantaged on a daily basis. We combine our resources by providing Reading, Computer Labs, Tutorial Programs and Economic Empowerment. The Senior Citizens are given the opportunity to share in shaping the vision by providing Guidance and Insight through Mother Mentorship, The Father Figure and Effective Role Modeling Programs. I pray that each member will embrace this Vision with Passion, Power and Fervency as we embark upon the dawning of a new millennium and the opportunity to do great exploits for Christ.
