The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Kalamazoo Michigan Stake Members of the Kalamazoo Michigan Stake are followers of Jesus Christ, attending 11 congregations in Southwest Michigan. Visitors are warmly welcomed Welcome!

Here are a few of the basic tenets of our faith:

"And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." - 2 Nephi 25:26

"We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul - We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." - Article of Faith #13

"We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may." - Article of Faith #11

"We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law." - Article of Faith #12

This week in Come, Follow Me, we learn about Saul, David, and Solomon. While each king faced challenges and weaknesses, Solomon built a temple—a sacred place that represented God's presence among His people.

Just as the temple helped the Israelites turn their hearts to the Lord, temples today help us draw closer to Jesus Christ through covenants, repentance, and His mercy.

This week, we are studying David and Goliath. (June 15-21st).

When the giant Goliath threatened Israel, even King Saul and his army were afraid. But David faced the giant with faith in the Lord.

His victory reminds us that our greatest challenges are not overcome by our own strength alone. As David declared, “The battle is the Lord’s.” When we trust God, He can help us face whatever giants stand in our way.

Each year, Primary children around the world participate in a service project to help others.

The children of the Kalamazoo 2nd Ward spent the past month collecting food from their congregation, friends, and neighbors to donate to Twelve Baskets, a local food pantry. Today, they were excited to deliver the donations themselves!

Thank you, Twelve Baskets, for helping our children learn the joy and importance of serving others.
