celebrating Black History Month we would like to share a little black history of our own regarding our church Holy Temple Church of God in Christ and its founding pastor Elder Amos Williams the first African American pastor to build a church in Kalamazoo from the ground up. "The Lord spoke to his heart," said David Williams, who was appointed pastor of Holy Temple Church of God in Christ upon the death of his father, Amos Williams at age 89, on April 12. "The Lord told him to build Him a house in Kalamazoo."
