Have you ever found yourself in a season where everything comfortable got stripped away? Pressure has a way of showing us what is actually holding us together when life feels uncertain. Today, as Teaching Pastor Kent Gearner walks us through a quiet midnight story from the ancient harvest fields, we are looking at those heavy moments when we have to step into the dark with zero guarantees. We will see how heartbreak, risk, and unexpected integrity collide in the hardest spaces of life. Grab a coffee, drop a hello in the chat, and take a deep breath. We are so glad you are hanging out with us.

Most of us know the quiet frustration of feeling like our daily efforts are far too small to make any real difference in a heavy, overwhelming world. It is easy to feel completely underqualified and wonder if our simple actions even matter. Today, we are looking at a messy, five-minute moment in history that seemed like an absolute failure on paper, yet quietly transformed the lives of millions. Real change rarely happens through grand, cinematic moments. Instead, it begins when ordinary people take one small step with whatever little they have in their hands. Grab a warm drink, jump into the comments, and join our conversation today. We would love to have you with us.

Welcome to this week's message from Horizons Church, "The Devil's Guide to Coveting," brought to us by Pastor Kent Gearner. In this eye-opening study of the Tenth Commandment, we expose the silent enemy of our daily joy: discontentment. We encourage you to dive into this teaching and discover how comparison quietly robs us of the abundant life Christ promised.

By engaging with this message, you can expect to break free from the comparison trap and experience a deep, supernatural peace. As you practice the spiritual discipline of active thankfulness taught by Pastor Kent, you can expect to:

Trade restless comparison for the joy of celebrating others' blessings.
Swap toxic entitlement for a deep appreciation of God's grace.
Cultivate a tranquil heart that brings literal life and healing to your bones.
We encourage you to take this transformation into your week! Share this video with a friend who needs encouragement, drop a comment with three things you are thankful for today, and gather with your small group to pray for a spirit of true contentment in our community. Let's walk together in the freedom of Christ!

Have you ever watched someone's reputation crumble in a single afternoon, just because of what other people said about them? We've all seen it happen, and if we're honest, we've probably played a part in it too, sharing something we weren't sure was true, or repeating a story that wasn't ours to tell.
Tonight Pastor Josiah Pitts is digging into one of the oldest instructions ever given about how we talk about each other, and why our words carry so much more weight than we usually realize. It's not really about lying the way we assume. It's about what we owe each other when we open our mouths.
Come with your questions and let's think this through together.

What does it really mean when something is stolen, even if nothing physical goes missing?

Most of us carry a quiet certainty that some things are simply off limits, our homes, our stuff, our labor, our time. We rarely stop to ask why that feeling runs so deep.

Pastor Quint Pitts unpacks that question through Exodus 20:15, the ancient command "you shall not steal," moving from a break in that took nothing yet still shattered a sense of safety, to a stolen camera collection that represented years of minimum wage paychecks and sacrifice, to an unattended firewood stand running purely on trust. It becomes a bigger conversation about ownership, fairness, and what happens to people when hard work stops being respected.

If you've ever felt the sting of someone taking what you earned, or wondered why fairness and ownership matter so much to all of us, this message meets you right there.

Stop assuming this command is just an old rule and start seeing it as the very foundation of real love, real trust, and real flourishing, for you and for everyone around you.

Watch now, and see why one sentence written thousands of years ago still guards everything you hold dear.

Welcome to this week's message from Horizons Church, "Be Pure," brought to us by Pastor Lucas Jarrett. As we look at the Seventh Commandment, we continue our journey to discover what it practically looks like to love our neighbors as ourselves. We encourage you to sit back and open your heart to this vital message as we confront the battle for sexual purity.

By engaging with this teaching, you can expect to cultivate a marriage and a life that beautifully mirrors Christ’s devotion to His Church. When you choose to protect your relationships according to God's design, you can expect to shield your family and community from relational heartbreak. This message offers a powerful opportunity for spiritual growth, challenging you to let the Holy Spirit shine His light into the quietest corners of your thought life, break free from secret struggles, and experience God's restorative grace.

As we look at what it practically means to keep this commandment, Pastor Lucas teaches us to value the spirit of the law just as much as the letter. By adopting these biblical principles, you can expect to experience a renewed mind and a fortified heart:

You will be equipped to take radical action to clear out screen and reading temptations.
You will learn to identify subtle, slow-moving patterns of compromise before they build momentum.
You will discover the power of bringing your struggles into the light of Christian community.
You will learn to redirect your whole heart toward loving your spouse with exclusive, protective devotion.
We encourage you to take this transformation beyond your screen today. Reflect on the boundaries you need to establish, share this video with a friend who needs encouragement, write your prayer requests in the comments below, and join a small group to stand together for the families in our community. Let us walk together in the grace of the One who makes us clean!

What if the person who annoys you the most is actually one of the most valuable things on the planet?

Most of us carry a mental list of people who test our patience, the coworker who takes credit for your work, the relative who never lets things go, the stranger online who says exactly the wrong thing. It's easy to write them off. It's harder to see them the way God does.

Using Exodus 20:13, Pastor Steve tells the true story of a 22-year-old who stopped a mass shooter in fifteen seconds, along with a moment from his own life when a stranger nearly attacked him with a pipe in a parking lot. Both stories point to the same truth: every human being carries the image of God.

Maybe you're nursing a grudge against someone who wronged you, or catching yourself scrolling through someone else's life online, wishing it were yours. Anger and envy feel small until you see where they lead.

Stop letting old resentment write your story. Start seeing the people in front of you, even the ones who frustrate you most, as image bearers worth protecting.

Watch now and take the first step toward laying something down.

Welcome to this week's message from Horizons Church, "Honor Your Father and Mother," brought to us by Pastor Josiah Pitts. As we examine the Fifth Commandment, we shift our focus to how we practically love our neighbors, starting right at home. We encourage you to open your heart to this study and discover how honoring your parents serves as the essential foundation for every relationship in your life.

By engaging with this teaching, you can expect to experience the blessings of longevity, trust, and deep relational harmony that God promises to those who walk in His ways. This message offers a powerful opportunity for spiritual growth, challenging you to let the Holy Spirit heal past relational wounds, break generational cycles of bitterness, and restore peace.

Pastor Josiah outlines how we can practice this vital spiritual discipline through every season of maturity. By adopting this biblical framework, you can expect to cultivate healthier family dynamics across four key areas:

Cultivating respect and cooperation while living under your parents' roof.
Learning to respectfully disagree when authority figures are in the wrong.
Consulting and valuing family wisdom in areas of Christian liberty.
Caring selflessly for your parents in their senior years, mirroring Christ's love on the cross.
We encourage you to take action this week: share this video with someone navigating family struggles, write your thoughts in the comments so we can pray with you, and join a small group to lift up the families in our community. Let us walk together in the grace of the Son who perfectly honored the Father!

Is it possible that our modern search for work life balance is actually a search for the ancient practice of Sabbath?

Many people are discovering that true peace is not about escaping to a quiet mountain or taking a quick nap. Instead, we are realizing that the biblical Sabbath day is actually an open invitation to step out of survival mode and into relational presence. Our guest speaker Pastor Kent looks at the words of Jesus in Matthew to show how the true meaning of Sabbath rest is about relationship rather than checking off a tedious list of religious rules. This perspective speaks directly into those real life moments when you are sitting in the living room playing on your phone instead of engaging with your kids, or when you are constantly striving to prove your worth to everyone around you. Stop waiting for the weekend to find relief and start experiencing a deep soul rest that is already yours.

Today we're looking at the third of the Ten Commandments, and it's not really about cussing or "watching your language" the way most of us were taught as kids. It goes deeper than that. A name can either be honored or hollowed out, treated as sacred or emptied of everything that makes it mean something.

We'll talk about the surprising, everyday ways we drain the meaning out of God's name without even realizing it, and why it changes the way we, and the people around us, see Him.

In 2022, one slap froze a room full of celebrities and lit up the entire internet within hours. Will Smith stepped onto a stage, struck Chris Rock, and said five words that everyone remembers: "Keep my wife's name out your mouth." He wasn't saying her name could never be spoken. He was drawing a lin...
