Jesus had a terrible baptism of suffering ahead of Him and was under a heavy burden until it was accomplished (Luke 12:50). He knew of the surety of his mission. No one and nothing can resist the perfect will of God. The prophet said of Him and His redemptive mission to seek and save the lost, “He will not fail nor be discouraged” (Isaiah 42:2).
