The quiet rhythm of the heart. The stars and the galaxy painting the night sky. A flickering candle in the dark. A circle of song, lifted to the heavens by our united voices. A prayer for peace and a dedication to universal love. These are the things that bring us to gather together. These are the blessings that help us to remember why we came here.

We’d like to extend our deepest appreciation to all of you for being on the journey with us. Your presence, your bravery, your tears and your laughter, the things you carry with you and the things you let go of—these are the gifts we offer up to the land and to each other. These are the threads that we weave together to create this beautiful tapestry. In seeing and in being seen, our bonds strengthen. In witnessing what is within our souls, we see more clearly what is within the souls of others. In planting these seeds, we are turning this world into a garden we can all call home.

There is such immeasurable love available to each and every one of us. It is through reciprocity that we become a part of the whole. There is a place for it all, and that includes each and every one of you. We truly cannot make it through this lifetime alone, and we’re grateful to walk with you as you take the next step on your path.

10-Day Shipibo Master Plant Dieta
June 11–21, 2027 | Kushi Center, Peru

I’m returning to the Kushi Center in Peru this June for a 10-day Shipibo-Konibo master plant dieta, and I’m opening the invitation to those who feel genuinely called to this work.

The ceremonies, the plants, the dreams, the songs, the silence, and the teachings brought me into a deeper relationship with myself and with life. There was something incredibly grounding about the experience, almost sobering in the best sense. The work wasn’t about leaving the world behind. It was about becoming more present within it.

One of the teachings that stayed with me was that eventually, life becomes the dieta.

The relationship with the plant continues beyond the time in ceremony. It becomes a way of listening, of living, of returning again and again to what is essential.

During the 10-day dieta, we will have the opportunity to work within the Shipibo-Konibo tradition through master plant dieta, ceremony, dreams, Shipibo language and song, sama, and direct teaching from the Maestro Wexa and Macarena.

For me, this is a place I want to keep returning to. I loved my experience there so much that I found myself wanting to come back again and again. I’m very happy to return and to share this experience with others who feel the same calling.

We also have an opportunity for an online pre-ceremony dieta, led by Maestro Wexa and Macarena at the Kushi Center. This is for anyone interested in learning more about working with master plants, exploring dreams, and deepening their connection with the plants as a preparation for ceremony.

The online dieta will be offered for an additional fee and is completely optional.

One of the most beautiful aspects of this tradition is that you’re not simply working with a plant.

You’re entering into a relationship with it.

The Shipibo teach that each master plant has its own wisdom, its own intelligence, and its own way of teaching. Throughout the dieta, you’ll learn how to cultivate that relationship through silence, dreams, sama, ceremony, and daily practice.

Over time, many practitioners describe the plant becoming a teacher. Dreams become part of the learning. Insights deepen. The relationship continues long after the retreat has ended.

Rather than leaving with only memories of ceremonies, you begin learning a way of listening.

For those who feel called, this can become a lifelong path of learning, healing, and deepening one’s relationship with the natural world.

It is a tradition rooted in humility, patience, and respect, where the greatest teachings often arrive quietly, one dream, one ceremony, one lesson at a time.
