One of the most beautiful aspects of this tradition is that you’re not simply working with a plant.

You’re entering into a relationship with it.

The Shipibo teach that each master plant has its own wisdom, its own intelligence, and its own way of teaching. Throughout the dieta, you’ll learn how to cultivate that relationship through silence, dreams, sama, ceremony, and daily practice.

Over time, many practitioners describe the plant becoming a teacher. Dreams become part of the learning. Insights deepen. The relationship continues long after the retreat has ended.

Rather than leaving with only memories of ceremonies, you begin learning a way of listening.

For those who feel called, this can become a lifelong path of learning, healing, and deepening one’s relationship with the natural world.

It is a tradition rooted in humility, patience, and respect, where the greatest teachings often arrive quietly, one dream, one ceremony, one lesson at a time.
