You are invited to participate in a special Ash Wednesday service (in-person or online), next Wednesday, Feb 17.⠀

Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the season of Lent - a rich Christian tradition that reminds us to repent and get our lives centered, our priorities straight, and our hearts clean before God. Lent is also a reminder of God’s steadfast love even as we acknowledge our sin. In scripture, ashes serve both as a symbol of our mortality and of repentance.⠀

Come for one of these services of confession, repentance, and forgiveness thru Christ, in-person, or online at any Mountain Campus. For more visit https://buff.ly/3jDk35O

💡 VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHT💡 ⠀
Meet Carrie! Carrie serves with us at Mountain Worship faithfully serving as a vocalist for the weekend services. We love Carrie and want you to get to know her a little better, check it out below...⠀

Q1. What are some fun facts about you?⠀
A1. Nine years ago, I joined a Mountain small group for married couples in their 20’s with no kids. Fast forward to today, we are all in our 30’s with 14 kids between us! (Two are mine.) That group is our framily, and are such a blessing to us. ⠀
I used to be an accountant, dreaming of a job where I could sing Disney songs all day. Now that I’m a stay at home mom with two girls, that dream has come true! ⠀

Q2. How long gave you been serving?⠀
A2. I joined the Mountain worship team in 2014 ⠀

Q3. Why do you serve on the worship team?⠀
A3. I serve because God wouldn’t stop pestering me until I did! 😆 I let fear get in my way - fear I was not equipped, and guilt for serving in an area that brings me so much joy. Both were a lie. God has shown me that that joy overflows, and enables you to have so much more to give. Serving Him while worshiping Him is a win win! ⠀

Thanks so much Carrie! We love serving along side of you!

Repost from

Join us tonight at 8PM on Facebook Live, with Mountain Pastors as we unite in prayer. There is a political fire burning across our nation, unrest in Wisconsin, and devastation in Louisiana following Hurricane Laura in the south. Let's stand together, quiet our minds, and open our hearts for God's presence to move. His presence brings unity, peace, hope, and love to the brokenhearted.⠀

"They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus." —Acts 1:14 NLT

💡 VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHT💡 ⠀
Meet Benkis! Benkis is an awesome dude to be around! He plays the drum's at the Mountain Road campus, you may have also seen him in our online services tearing up the skins (drumming)! We love Benkis and want you to get to know him a little better, check it out below...⠀

Q1. Tell us a little about you.⠀
A1. I started playing drums when I was 10 years old and I have always played for the Lord; I played in a band named La Roca - “The Rock” for 12 years, and shared the gospel through music to many people over the years. I had the blessing and the opportunity, due to a job opportunity, to move to the US in 2002. I met my wife at church when I was 16, she was 14 at the time; we served together the lord over the years at small groups, music, drama, choreography and many other events. Finally we got married in 2006, and now we have two beautiful daughters, Eliana and Erica⠀
Some things I love - Drums, helicopters, mountain biking and swimming! ⠀

Q2. How long have you been serving?⠀
A2. I've been serving at Mountain for six years now.⠀

Q3. Why do you serve?⠀
A3. The reason why I like to serve - When I play the drums I feel that I have a special connection with God, I can feel his presence and that makes me grow as a person and spiritually. I also enjoy to see other people worship and get close to God through worship⠀
-⠀
Thank you so much Benkis! We love serving with you!⠀⠀⠀⠀
