The building has sold. We are grateful for the years we served the area.

As a congregation of GCI (Grace Communion International), it is also our mission to be genuine examples of “Living and Sharing the Gospel” in every facet of our lives.

Easter celebrates the fulfillment of God’s plan for salvation through Jesus’ death and resurrection. His sacrifice made it possible for us all to repent, be forgiven, and receive God’s gift of eternal life here and now. Jesus said that eternal life is knowing God and knowing Jesus Christ, whom God has sent. God sent His Son so that people of every nation would have a loving, personal, intimate relationship with the one true God that endures forever. How have you experienced the life-changing love of God in your own life? How might God be leading you to witness and reveal the love of Jesus to others?

The grace and mercy of God are like two sides of the same coin. Grace is when we receive what we don’t deserve. Mercy is when we don’t receive what we actually deserve. God’s grace and mercy are evident all throughout Scripture, embodied perfectly in Jesus, the Lamb of God who purges the world of the poison of sin and death. No human being is deserving of God’s eternal blessings, yet He delights in lavishing His children with His goodness. Reflect on the truth that God sent His Son to die on your behalf. Seek our Lord Jesus and His strength to turn away from pride and envy in your relationships.

David’s prayer of repentance echoes the hearts of all who desire to know Jesus intimately as their Savior and Lord. No one can know Jesus and be known by Him without being forever changed, for God’s kindness is intended to lead us to repentance. Because of His great love and mercy, we can approach God just as we are with a broken and contrite heart. We can trust that He willingly purifies our hearts and restores us to the joy of His salvation. Think about the story of your coming to Christ and surrendering your life to Him. How has your life changed since then?

As our good shepherd, Jesus knows and cares for each of his sheep, and his sheep know and recognize his voice. Listening to Jesus is like coming home to the security of being under the shepherd’s care. By the presence of his Holy Spirit within us, we recognize the soothing, familiar voice of Jesus — the voice that leads us to quiet waters, lush pastures, and new life. Reflect on what Jesus has told you and taught you while reading and studying the Bible. Take time each week asking God to help you understand his word, seek his heart, and follow him with your whole being.

It is all too easy to remain anxious and cynical when we are bombarded with daily reminders of how broken our world governments are. People still commit evil, the innocent die young, and the state of the world only seems to be getting worse. But God’s word encourages us to stop striving to solve all our problems on our own strength and instead to be still in his presence and wait patiently for him. This may be counterintuitive, but God desires for his people to take delight in him and trust him especially when life doesn’t make sense. When you find yourself feeling anxiety about current events, take a moment to stop, take a deep breath, and ask the Lord for peace over the situation and your mind.

God wants to be known. It gives him great joy when his children choose to come to him and speak to him, and he always has a listening ear. Because God is invisible and always with us wherever we are, we can be tempted to think that we will come to him “when we have time” or when it’s “convenient” for us. But the truth is, God desires to have quality time with us more than anyone else. He wants us to seek him with all our hearts, free of distractions. What are some distractions in your life that may be inhibiting your quality time with God? Surrender them to God and ask the Spirit to guide you to have uninterrupted time together.
