Say hello to our Kids Ministry Intern, Emily Goodwin! 🎉
Emily recently graduated from Diamond High School and plans to attend Crowder to pursue elementary education. Around First Baptist Joplin, you’ve probably already seen her serving in Kids Ministry, taking photos for the Media Team, or leading worship for Storehouse.
Her favorite verse is Romans 8:18, and her heart for kids ministry shines through everything she does:
“I love serving in kids ministry because I love making kids feel welcomed and valued. I love showing them the love of Jesus and encouraging them.”
A few fun facts about Emily:
⭐ Favorite Bible story: The paralyzed man being lowered through the roof to Jesus because it shows true friendship and faith.

🤢 Hardest mess she’s cleaned up: Throw up at Kids Camp
☀️ Most excited for this summer: MEGA Hobbies Camp and Kids Camp
🧴 Most-used phrase at camp: “Did you put on deodorant today?”
One thing Emily says people don’t realize about kids ministry:
“Serving in kids ministry means the blessing goes both ways. The smallest people often make the biggest impact.”
