Park Plaza Christian Church was organized in 1960 through the combined efforts of the Villa Heights and Blendville Christian Churches. Incorporation was in 1962. he present sanctuary was completed in 1968. The church desires to meet the challenge of our generation for those who seek and are willing to follow Jesus Christ. As in the past, it is still our commitment to offer a solid framework of Bible teaching, along with a friendship and fellowship dedicated to building Christian lives to maturity. Park Plaza Christian Church is an independent Christian Church without connection to a denominational structure. Each of over 5,000 churches across the nation is locally governed by boards of elders with local autonomy. We believe the message of Christ and his apostles to be timely and relevant for today’s needs. We accept Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God, Savior of all who acknowledge Him as Lord. The New Testament Scriptures form the primary basis for Christian thought and action. Each member has freedom and responsibility for thought and opinion in those areas not specifically covered by the Scriptures. Baptism by the method of immersion is practiced as being the symbol of complete surrender to Jesus Christ and a re-enactment of his death, burial, and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper, or Communion, is observed each Sunday for all followers of Christ who wish to partake.
