This morning, guest speaker Pastor Nathan Covington reminded us of a powerful truth from Matthew 25:1-13—the Parable of the Ten Virgins.

All ten looked alike.
All ten carried lamps.
All ten expected the bridegroom.
All ten even fell asleep.

But five were ready, and five were not.

The difference wasn't visible on the outside. It was what they had prepared on the inside.

The foolish virgins intended to get ready someday. The wise virgins were ready today.

Pastor Nathan reminded us that the oil represents Christlike character and a genuine relationship with Jesus. It cannot be borrowed from someone else. A spouse can't give you their faith. A parent can't give you theirs. A pastor can't transfer it to you. Each of us must know Christ personally.

The key to being ready tomorrow is to be ready today.

One question remains:

When the Bridegroom comes, will the door be open or closed?

"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour." — Matthew 25:13

Did Jesus intend for women to participate in the Great Commission?

When Jesus said, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..." (Matthew 28:19), He did not limit that command to a select few. The call to make disciples was given to His followers.

Throughout Scripture, God used women in powerful ways:

• Mary Magdalene was the first witness of the risen Christ and was sent to tell the disciples (John 20:17-18).

• Priscilla helped teach Apollos "the way of God more accurately" (Acts 18:26).

• Phoebe was commended as a servant of the church (Romans 16:1-2).

• Women were present in prayer, ministry, and the spread of the Gospel throughout the New Testament.

The question is not whether women can share Christ, make disciples, teach, serve, pray, evangelize, or answer God's call. Scripture clearly shows they can and do.

The Church does not advance because of the strength of men alone. It advances because ordinary people—men and women alike—say "yes" to the call of God.

The harvest is plentiful. The laborers are few.

May every believer be willing to go wherever God sends them, make Christlike disciples, and point people to Jesus.

Today's message asked a simple but challenging question:

Is there room in your pool?

In James 2:1-8, we're reminded that favoritism has no place in the Kingdom of God. We are called to love our neighbors as ourselves—not based on their status, appearance, background, or what they can do for us.

Pastor Shana shared the story of Mister Rogers and Officer François Clemmons, who quietly broke down barriers by sharing a small kiddie pool together during a divided time in our nation's history. Years later, Mister Rogers even knelt and dried his feet, echoing the example of Jesus.

Jesus didn't just teach us to love. He showed us what it looks like. At the Last Supper, He washed His disciples' feet—including Judas'.

Think about that.

If Jesus could serve the one who would betray Him, how can we refuse to love the people God has placed around us?

Neighbor-hating begins with pride. Neighbor-loving begins with humility.

This week, ask yourself:
Who have I decided doesn't belong in my pool?

"Love your neighbor as yourself." – James 2:8

Some messages don’t just encourage you… they search you.
Today Pastor Christy reminded us that Christianity is more than posting verses, pointing out everyone else’s sins, or trying to appear “good” in front of people. Jesus said the greatest commandments are to love God and love your neighbor — and those two things cannot be separated.
Too many people are busy exposing darkness in others while ignoring the condition of their own heart.
The truth is: If we truly walk close with Christ, it will produce humility, compassion, conviction, and love for people — not pride.
We are not “too important” to help others. We are not called to perform holiness. We are called to be transformed by Him DAILY.
Real discipleship is not just good deeds. It is a surrendered heart.
“Ask God to transform our hearts.”

🌲⛺ Tent Donations Needed for Our Upcoming Camping Trip! ⛺🌲

The Naz Discipleship House is preparing for an camping trip on June 12th-14th and we’re looking for donated tents to help make it possible for everyone to participate comfortably and safely.

If you have a tent you no longer use — whether it’s a small 2-person tent or a larger family-sized one — we would be incredibly grateful for your donation. New or gently used tents are welcome!

This trip is a chance for fellowship, growth, encouragement, and time away together in God’s creation. Your generosity can help create an unforgettable experience for the people in our program.

If you’re able to donate or would like more information, please send us a message. Thank you for supporting The Naz Discipleship House and investing in our community! ❤️
