The Wenger Meetinghouse

The Wenger Meetinghouse The Wenger Meetinghouse Preservation Assoc. is currently engaged in several restoration projects to preserve the simple yet stunning meetinghouse.

The meetinghouse was built on the northwest corner of the original 170 acres of Hans Wenger's property. Located in sight of the Blue Mountains of northern Lebanon County, is a very simple but stunning structure, the Wenger Meetinghouse. The meetinghouse was built on the northwest corner of the original 170 acres of immigrant, Hans Wenger's property in Swatara Township. Mathias Brinser, founder of

the United Zion Church, dedicated the church. In 1977, the United Zion Church put the building up for sale and the Wenger Cemetary Association purchased it. Since December 2010, the Wenger Meetinghouse Preservation Association has leased the building to restore and preserve. Upon request, the Wenger Meetinghouse will be open to organizations for appropriate meetings and events.
