Wednesday night activities resume NEXT Wednesday, September 9! We can't wait to see new and old friends as we dine (5:30 PM), worship (6:15 PM), study (6:50 PM) and sing (7:30 PM)!

Rejoicing Spirits is an informal, 30 minute worship service open to all and specifically designed for individuals with disabilities and their families. It can also be a great option for younger children or anyone who likes to wiggle during worship. Best way to learn more is to come check it out! You can also message our page with any questions. At Zion's we believe we are GATHERED by God's grace, EMPOWERED to serve, and SENT to share Christ's love!

Here are some snapshots from last week's "Gather" group...and a reminder of two upcoming opportunities to GATHER. Our annual "God's Work, Our Hands" afternoon of service will take place on Sunday, September 13 following worship (light lunch served) and the Church Picnic is Sunday, September 20! We hope you can plan to stay for one or both!

As more school districts head back to school, we pray:

Loving God, new school years bring both excitement and anxiety. Help us to remember Your presence with us through all the emotions of this day, and week. Bless schools, teachers, staff, students, classmates, friends, parents and caregivers. Watch over them and keep them safe.

As they learn, help them to discover the different gifts that You have given each one of them to be used in your work in the world. As they hear many voices that will fill their days, help them to listen most carefully for Your voice, the One that says we are all created in Your image, and You love us, no matter what.

Bless those who prepare lunches, those who drive students to school, and those who keep our schools clean and safe. We ask God's blessing on this new school year, that it may be a time of learning, growth, and joy. Amen.

Zion's Touching Tomorrow Endowment at work!

When Youth Service Camp visited the Wittel Farm in June (first five photos), we got to spend time with the chicks Zion's helped to purchase through our Touching Tomorrow Endowment Fund. The Kurtz family got to follow-up with those chicks--now chickens!--when they were at family camp earlier this month (last three photos). Check out how much these guys have grown! Soon they are expected to produce 300 eggs a week, all of which will be given away in Lancaster and Lebanon counties to combat food insecurity. Talk about a gift that keeps on giving!

As several school districts head back to school, we pray for students, teachers, and staff. May the year to come be filled with growth, laughter, safety, and lots of love.

Remember, wherever you go and whatever you do, YOU are the Church. Let your light shine as you proclaim Christ’s love in word and deed!

As we look forward to our Church Picnic next month, we thought we'd share some photos from the last one...which was quite some time ago! We look forward to sharing this time together, and making new memories!

A lunch meal will be provided. If you'd like, you're welcome to bring a dessert to share! The Church Picnic will take place across the street from Zion's, in the Jonestown Park Pavillion.
