Mental health and self care is important all of the time. It is especially important when you are busier and things can be more hectic. It’s hard to feel the joy and bless others when you are running on empty. Talk to Jesus!

When you’re working on your life and growing with the Lord, sometimes it’s difficult to recognize the growth from the debris. Ask God to show you the wins so that you can set your mind on the things above (Colossians 3:2.) Celebrate with Him!

In the midst of all the crazy that’s going on in this world, and even in our households, we have to choose how our brain is going to respond to these situations. We can invite our spirit to lead instead of our mind and invite God into our situation. Hebrews 13:15 says to “continuously choose a sacrifice of praise.”

Sometimes our thoughts spiral before we even notice—fear, shame, or lies sneaking in and pulling us down. One tool from CBT is the STOP thought technique: when a negative thought shows up, you pause and say, STOP. It’s like slamming the brakes on a runaway train.

But as followers of Jesus, we don’t just stop—we also take every thought captive (2 Corinthians 10:5). That means we ask: Does this thought line up with God’s truth? If not, we don’t let it stay. We replace it with what Scripture says: freedom instead of shame, peace instead of fear, hope instead of despair.

Next time your thoughts start running wild, try it: STOP. Identify. Compare. Replace. Submit it to Jesus. He promises to renew your mind and bring peace that the world can’t take away.

How many people are working towards goals or resolutions? Start and focus on what went well and what God did. MAKE A LIST! I know, we have lists coming out the w***o or you think you'll remember. Make a list of the positives, the miracles, the blessings, that you experienced and received last year and post it where you will regularly see it.

When we base our goals on what we're avoiding, it creates negative feedback in our brains that ultimately sets us up for failure. Our brains are wired to focus on the negative in order to perceive threats but this will not aid you in growth.

We must focus on the brilliant things we were apart of last year and focus on more of those. This is our place of declaring God's goodness in praise so we can participate in more of His goodness. (Revelation 19:10) Rehearse the list and do it with gratitude, especially when you become discouraged. He is good.

What device runs well on a low battery? Many things don't work well or at all if you try using them while they're recharging.

When is the last time that YOU recharged? You are your first resource. If you don't completely stop and rest (RECHARGE), you won't work well. Your ability to function, to work, to do, to love, is greatly hindered when you are deplete. 😔

If you say, "But I'm too busy," you need a nap so you can work at top proficiency!

Recently, I had the wonderful pleasure of joining my good friend, Kim Thomsen, on her podcast Hidden Treasures. We had originally decided the subject would be on identity and then God gave me an amazing revelation on our identity and authority and how they work together.

Please listen to where ever you usually pull podcasts from and I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Really good, quick video on this new movie based on the novel, plus the Booktok trend, and how it may be partnering with the crazy uptick in printed s**t. I’m thinking the rise in romance novel sales has a correlation in loneliness, relational disconnect and overall decline in spiritual health.

Amongst other things, this spirit of fantasy is wreaking havoc.

Controversy around the movie It Ends With Us, starring Blake Lively, has had teens talking for weeks. The novel the movie is based on first became popular on
