Each year, the quilters of Zion’s Lutheran Church create quilts for our graduating preschool students as a tangible sign of God’s love and care along their journey. Today, the students got to pick which one they want for themselves! They will then receive these as part of the graduation festivities.

All month long, we're learning to "take care of God's creation". In chapel this week, we reviewed the creation story. When God looked at all God had created, He said "it is GOOD!" and, then, God created people in God's image, said it is "VERY good", and instructed them to care for all that God had made. In the same way, we are called to care for God's creation by caring for water, land, plants, animals, birds, fish...everything! We thanked God for creating us, and ALL things, and asked for God's help taking care of the earth and all that is in it.

Of course, we had to finish with the HIPPO song...be sure to ask your students about that one!

Many of our preschool students participated in last week's Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Youth Group of Zion's Lutheran Church. We love inviting our preschool families to participate congregational events...especially when the weather cooperates and it ends up being a BEAUTIFUL day!
