Our Word Baptist en Español family is preparing for their very first Spanish Vacation Bible School, and they need our help!

If you’re available to serve, there are a variety of ways you can get involved—from registration and parking to photography, security, transportation, cleanup, prayer, and more. Every volunteer can make a difference as they reach Spanish-speaking families in our community.

Get ready to move, groove, and make a massive impact! 🕺🏻✨ Word Baptist en Español is hosting our first Spanish Vacation Bible School (VBS), and we are throwing the doors wide open! We’ve invited every Spanish-speaking baptist church in the area to bring their kids, and the response is going to be BIG! To make this the best week ever for these families, we need our amazing sister church-and any local Baptist church who feels led-to team up with us! 🤝❤️

📍 How You Can Help Us Shine:
We need all hands on deck! No matter your skill set, there is a place for you:

🧼 Cleanup Crew: Keep things tidy during the week and help us reset the space when it's all done.
🕵️‍♂️ Security Team: Keep our environment safe, secure, and worry-free for families.
🗣️ Translations: Bi-lingual? Help us bridge the gap and make everyone feel right at home!
📸 Photo & Video Crew: Capture all the smiles, laughter, and core memories throughout the week!
🚌 Transportation: Helping kids get to and from the church safely.
🚗 Parking Team: Directing traffic and welcoming families with a smile.
📝 Sign-Ups & Registration: Greeting parents and getting kids checked in.

Day 5 Wednesday, we made it home!

The enemy was trying to get us discouraged with a broken battery cable and 2 dead batteries but nothing could stop the work of the Lord this week! We had 5 of our kids answer the call to ask Jesus into their hearts and 1 that re-dedicated her heart to the Lord! It was an incredible week of growth!! Camp is such an intentional time where in everything they do it’s pointed back to Jesus! They did small group time and rec time followed by track time which included obstacles courses, rock walls, swimming, weird science, creative dance, art, building things, canoeing, outdoor games, basketball, wiffle ball, flag football… the list goes on! They conquered fears and got out of their comfort zones!

Thank you for supporting our kids and letting them have this experience to grow in their friendships but most importantly their walk with the Lord as the Author of their story!

We are already excited and gearing up for next year as we will study the Author of the Future!

Tuesday Day 4 we learned about the Author of Joy! Our focus verse for the night was John 15: 1-11.

We learned that true joy is found in the presence of God, the Author himself delights in us, God longs for us to trust Him and celebrates when we do, and we saw the unexpected joy that Paul and Silas had even even when in prison!

There are some really good things in life that bring us joy, but God is the source of all these good things, and He is the Author of Joy!

Jesus told us to remain in Him. Whether things are good and sunny or sad and stormy, staying connected to Him is how we grow good fruit!
Just like fruit must be attached to its source to remain healthy, we must remain attached to our vine, Jesus, who is our source of life! Remaining in Him is how our joy can be complete!

Monday Day 3 we learned about the Author of Truth! Our focus verse for the night was John 14:6.

Truth starts with Him. God, the storyteller, is holy, good, and always keeps His promises, even when we do not. Gods law shows us just how much we need Him as we go through life. Jesus showed His followers that Ge came to earth to fulfill the Law and to fulfill every promise God made about the Savior. He proved Gods Word to be true!

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Following Jesus’ way and obeying His truth gives us a new life in Christ! The Lord has been moving in the hearts of our kids, continue to pray for their relationship him to grow as the Author of their story!

Sunday Day 2 we learned about the Author of Salvation! Our focus versus at the end of the day was Ephesians 2:8-10.

Throughout our whole day, we’ve seen people fail- first with Adam and Eve, then the Israelites in the Wilderness, and even Nicodemus struggled to understand and believe what Jesus was saying. None of them could earn Gods love on their own. But that’s the beauty of the gospel.

God, the Author of Salvation, has freely given us his gift of salvation. We are saved by grace through faith so that we boast in Him and not in our own works. On our own, we’re not enough, but the Storyteller made a way for us to know Him through sending his Son, Jesus, to live the perfect life we could not live, die the death we deserved because of our sin so that we can live with Him forever. What an amazing gift!

Keep praying for the kids to truly know and understand the Author of Salvation!
