Today's Bible Verse:
Romans 12:9- Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.

Three simple rules that will make a great deal of difference in life. Hypocritical love is not love at all. It is pretense; play acting. Let your love be genuine, faithful, reassuring. Abhor is a strong word for hate. There are some things in life that we should hate. Anything that is evil, hurtful to others, dishonest [we all know what
they are]! Rejecting evil without replacing it with good could leave a void in life that evil will come gushing back into.
Find what is good and hold on for dear life!

TODAY'S BIBLE VERSE:
Hebrews 11:1- Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith is evidence? Yes, when looking through the telescope of God's word and believing what you see.
The unity of the written word, recorded by more than forty inspired men over a period of fifteen hundred years or more, many of whom never knew one another, is evidence of the inerrancy of the Bible. It records many things not seen, but accepted by faith which in turn instills hope within us. Because of faith, the unseen becomes more real than earthly things which are visible to the eye. The unseen is permanent, that which is seen is
temporary (2 Corinthians 4:18).

TODAY'S BIBLE VERSE:
1 John 1:5- This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

Throughout the Bible, evil is compared to darkness and goodness to light. God is pure, unadulterated light. There is not even a speck of darkness in Him. His brightness exceeds the brightness of the sun. Physical eyes can't look upon either. One day we will be able to look upon Him with our spiritual eyes. Meanwhile, He
beseeches us to walk in the light (1 John 1:7), and avoid the dark paths of lurking evils that threaten to undo us.
To walk in darkness is live a life devoid of God, for He isn't there.

TODAY'S BIBLE VERSE:
Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

God has thoughts about and for us. He has plans for us. He has plans of peace for us and not of evil. It is revealing that He thinks of peace as the opposite of evil. Peace will give you a future and a hope. Not the hope of becoming rich, or famous, or powerful. But the hope of living with the reality of the presence of God with
you throughout life and with Him eternally. The real future is not just in our life here on earth, but the continuing life after death with Jesus. The believer's future is to be like Him and see Him as He is (1 John 3:2).

TODAY'S BIBLE VERSE:
John 16:33- These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

If you made a list of the ten things you most want in life, that list would likely be topped by "peace."
The peace that Jesus offers is not absence of discomfort, but the presence of Him. Peace with God is unity with God, conformity with God, at rest with God. We can never make peace with the world. But we can rest in peace with God, no matter what goes on in the world around us. Because Jesus has overcome the world and wants us to know that peace. This peace is a right relationship with God. Try it, you might like it!

TODAY'S BIBLE VERSE:
Isaiah 41:10a- Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God.

Life has risks! They are unavoidable. And they produce fear. It is how we respond to fear that determines the quality of life. Fear can produce a mental barrier to action or a mental challenge to take action.The fear factor spectrum goes all the way from healthy fear to unhealthy fear. Facing your fears with confidence
in God to help you overcome is healthy. Facing fears with the dismay of doubt and helplessness is unhealthy.
Failing to take action because of fear can only create more fear. Finding the courage, with God's help, to do the right thing, regardless of the risks, will prevent you from being controlled by your fears.
