Ladies! Welcome to our first Tuesday devotional for Central Women in Jonesboro! My name is Joy Ligon, and I serve as the Lead Director of Women’s Ministry across all our campuses! My prayer is that these weekly devotionals encourage you, strengthen your faith, and remind you that God is working in every detail of your life. We are so grateful you are here!
Now let’s dive in!
Proverbs 29:18 states, “Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, but happy is he who keeps the law.”
Proverbs 29:18 is communicating that having clear vision prevents a life of wandering and weariness. However, when God’s church has vision, growth and thriving follows. This is what I want for your life and the women’s ministry of Central Baptist- that we would thrive together under clear vision!
I wanted to spend a few moments sharing with you the vision of our women’s ministry, along with how this will look for Central Jonesboro!
Our mission as a women’s ministry is to join Jesus to reach women and empower them to be Godly women who make disciples.
You will notice that our vision is the same vision for the church. We are running alongside the church. Our mission is the church’s mission. We want you to join us!
We are so excited about the opportunities coming up for women in our church to join this mission! Here’s a glimpse of what’s ahead:
* Each Tuesday, a woman from our church will share a devotional right here on this page!
* In August, we will launch Every Woman, a Wednesday night discipleship class designed to help women grow deeper in God’s Word.
* In September, we will host our Flourish event at the Jonesboro campus! (We are praying for 1000 women!!!) Think food trucks, worship, serving opportunities, teaching, swag, and so much more!
*In January, we will launch D-Groups! This is an incredible opportunity to spend a year in God’s Word alongside like-minded women.
*In March, we will host our first Renew Retreat! This is going to be an absolute blast! Spots will be limited, so be ready to sign up!
*And then… another Flourish event in April!
Can you see the vision? Doesn’t this make you excited?
Let’s also pause to celebrate what has already taken place!
Recently, we have hosted many get togethers, bunco nights, play dates, and a brunch and bouquet morning! We have launched our T2 Mentoring Program!! We are so grateful for all the new friendships and community that have formed from these gatherings!! It’s been the best time!
So now I want to ask you:

Will you join us as we join Jesus to reach women and empower them to be Godly women who make disciples?
The Lord has big plans for the women at Central. I can’t wait to see what all He does!
