"Draw me away!" — Song of Solomon 1:4

Hey Guys,

One of the greatest dangers in any relationship is not usually conflict. It is more of a drift. Few couples wake up one day and decide to become distant. More often, distance develops gradually through neglect, busyness, and routine. The same can happen in our walk with God. We can remain active, attend church, serve faithfully, and yet slowly lose the closeness we once enjoyed with Him.

"Draw me away!,” in the Song of Solomon is the language of pursuit. Healthy love always involves moving toward one another.

Before marriage, pursuit feels natural. We make time, send messages, plan dates, and look forward to being together. Yet after years of being together, pursuit often fades, and we just become complacent. The same is true in our walk with Jesus. We never outgrow our need to pursue Christ.

The good news is that God has never stopped pursuing us. Jesus pursued sinners, doubters, failures, and wanderers. He pursued us all the way to the cross. His love remains faithful even when ours grows weak.

This week, take one intentional step toward the people you love and one intentional step toward God. Send the text. Make the phone call. Pray together.
Read Scripture. Offer encouragement. Express affection. Spend time with the Lord.
Small acts of pursuit, repeated consistently, strengthen relationships.

I would love to hear your thoughts. How can I pray for you this week?
