John Manns on why we are Free Seventh-day Adventists:
"NINTH REASON for the Free Seventh-day Adventist
Church is “because the white leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist denomination discriminate against [Black] people. They do this . . . discriminating in the organization, the church, the office, the school, the sanitarium, notwithstanding the [Black] membership must make great sacrifices to aid in building up these wonderful institutions now owned by the S.D.A. denomination.”
Finally, Manns offers three more reasons for the Free Seventh-day Adventist Church:
TENTH. We are Free because [Black] Seventh-day Adventists, as a rule, are barred from Seventh-day Adventist Northern and Western schools, where schools of the world make no distinction among the races.
ELEVENTH. We are Free because the white leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist denomination bar even [Black] Seventh-day Adventist patients from their sanitariums, when the worldly institutions of the same kind, accept [African American] people of every walk of life.
TWELFTH. We are Free, because [Black] Seventh-day Adventists are barred from holding any clerical position in the Seventh-day Adventist Publishing houses, tract societies, and conference offices.
Many of the issues cited by Manns here are restated by the Committee for the Advancement of a World-wide Work Among Colored Seventh-day Adventists which means that Manns was ahead of his time."
As you all can see, never has the Free SDA Church had any difference of doctrine when compared to the main stream SDA Church. Unlike it, the Free SDA Church stands for the same principles God gave His people about 170 years ago.
