Not where we wanted to be today! I had to bring Addi to the ER at CHOA. She began vomiting Friday after she came home from school but thought it must be something she ate. She felt better yesterday so we went on to baby Bentlee’s 1st birthday party. All day she wasn’t really herself but later in the evening she bagan running a fever. She has basically slept since 7:00 last night and has only woke up for about an hour total to get her to take meds and to get her to sip on water. She is very lethargic and can’t even keep water down or hold her head up.

She has been admitted to the hospital. She is having severe stomach pain and is severely dehydrated, her sugar is critically low, and her BP is lower than normal. Praying this has nothing to do with cancer and only something minimal like a stomach bug and she will be better soon!

Please keep our girl in your prayers!

Much love ~ LaLa

Thank you so much to everyone who decorated, served, cooked, sold (vendors - pre-luncheon) and put so much time and effort into making our annual Ladies Luncheon such a success again this year! Thanks also to Lanie Beth Sinclair who brought a timely work on recognizing and fulfilling the purpose God has for our lives. There’s only one of each of us, and God has given each of us gifts, purpose and plans to fulfill, but those things can only happen through our obedience and keeping our eyes on Him. It’s been a great day and we are so thankful!

Ladies,

Refresh begins again this Saturday, Sept. 1 from 9am-11am in the ROC. We will begin studying Titus 2:1, 3-5 in the books True Woman 201.

You don't want to miss it!

See you there!

Growing together,

Zena

Good Evening Sweet Sisters!

Revelation 19:11-13;16 states:
"Now I saw heaven opened and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood and His name is called The Word of God. And He has on His rob and on His thigh a name written: King of Kings and Lord of Lords."

There is an advantage in having the complete Word of God in front of you...All 66 books...

You see, we can go to the last book, Revelation, and remind ourselves of this victorious win!! We can remind ourselves that He who sat on the white horse is called Faithful and True. We can remind ourselves that out of His mouth goes a sharp sword that with it He should strike the nations and that the name written on His robe and His thigh is Kind of Kings and Lord of Lords.

No matter what is happening, what has happened and what will happen in my life, Jesus Christ is victorious. Period!

Huge highs or deep lows, Jesus Christ is victorious! Say it with me, Jesus Christ is victorious, Jesus Christ is victorious!

Praise Him today. Outwardly express to Him praise for who He is and declare His glory. One of my favorite songs by Kari Jobe states:
Forever He is Glorified
Forever He is Lifted High
Forever He is Risen
He is Alive, He is Alive!

We sing Hallelujah! The Lamb has overcome!

Be encouraged and remind yourself of the victory that has already been won.

Love you sisters,

Zena

Happy Mother's Day to my beautiful sisters!

Proverbs 31:30 says "Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."

God has uniquely designed women to be nurturers. We are willing to hold and soothe and tenderly rock a crying baby. We are wiling to shout and scream and be the biggest cheerleader for our children or children we have poured ourselves in. We come alongside and encourage new moms, moms who are struggling, single women, divorced women, and widows. You name it, we nurture. We mother.

On this beautiful Sunday, I say Happy Mother's Day to all of my beautiful sisters! You are praised because of your fear of the Lord. Thank you for your encouragement to my family and I! Our lives are so much richer because of you!

Good Morning Sisters!!!

Well May is finally here and I can feel the air warming up! How has your year been thus far? Have you been specifically seeking God about something and He has answered your prayer? Are you still waiting? Comment below and share your praise or patient report....

Tomorrow May 6th is our last Refresh for this semester. This month's lesson is Sisterhood. If you need help in tweeking your health and wellness plan (diet and exercise) join us as Emily Compton will come and encourage and enlighten us on ways to improve these areas for God's glory.

Listen, God has uniquely designed us girls and He wants us to know His purpose and plans for our lives and that includes knowing the truth about His divine design for male and female.

I would love to see you tomorrow at 9am in Rm 112 (behind the chapel). Bring a friend!

All for His Glory,

Zena

Hello Dear Sisters!

I was thinking about what God has been teaching us through our book study "Divine Design" each month. I marvel at His good, good plan and you know what? I am glad that I have been created woman! Psalm 139:14 says "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Verse 15 says "My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth."

When God created male and female, He did not make a mistake or even give us a choice on whether we wanted to be male or female. He made us as He saw fit to and it is good because it is His plan.

I've lived in the south south now for about 7 years (I'm from Maryland and some say that is not really the south :) ) and magnolia trees are beautifully blooming this time of the year. A popular phrase "Steel Magnolia" is used to describe the delicate yet strong nature of Southern women. That phrase reflects something of the essence of true womanhood. The image melds beauty with perseverance, softness with backbone, delicacy with durability, sweetness with stamina and gentleness with gumption.

Rejoice in the beauty of God's design for womanhood. It is very good!

This Saturday join us for Refresh! -bible study and fellowship at 9am in Room 112. Bring a friend!

Praise Jesus today!

Love ya!

All for His Glory,

Zena
