• One casket in a burial vault and one urn in its own urn vault

Great night at the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce Rooftop Event!

Good people, great conversations, and plenty of networking. One thing that surprised me was how many people didn’t know you could pre-plan your final arrangements and protect eligible costs from future price increases. Those conversations are exactly why I enjoy what I do.

I even had the opportunity to meet the Mayor of Morrow.

What happens two hours before a burial?

I’m already at the gravesite completing the two-hour check and making sure every detail is correct:

✅ Name on the vault lid is correct
✅ Vault is at the correct burial plot
✅ Tent is in place
✅ 12 chairs are ready
✅ Water, tissues, and fans are available

When a family arrives to say goodbye, they shouldn’t have to worry about whether everything was handled correctly. My responsibility is to make sure the site is properly prepared so they can focus on honoring their loved one.

This is what care looks like before the service even begins.

If you or someone in your family is paying for a final expense policy, ask yourself two questions:

If something happened today, is it enough? And how long will you be paying for it?

Final expense insurance can provide money—but it doesn’t necessarily create the funeral plan itself or protect funeral prices from future increases.

I recently came across a file for a woman who pre-planned her funeral in 1975. She lived to be 104 years old.

Her arrangements had already been made, and eligible guaranteed costs were protected from future price increases.

Think about how much funeral costs changed between 1975 and the day she passed.
